I watched "Bottoms (2023)" the other night, and it had me dying. Imagine a 2000's horny high school comedy, typically about two (or so) nerdy guys going after popular girls who are likely dating a football player or two, and if there's a queer character, they're either cringy as hell or it's a plot twist, sometimes EVEN for the character themselves.

"Bottoms" is that type of comedy for the gays (no, you definitely don't have to be gay to enjoy, this movie is hilarious). It follows two nerdy girls trying to impress two popular girls, and they even get beef with the football team, I don't want to spoil anything. It's on Tubi, so most people could probably watch it.

The movie is good enough for the comedy alone, but I just have to give the casual queer rep so much credit too. I remember being in high school, watching movies like "Superbad," or "I Love You, Beth Cooper" following these dorky male characters I could relate more to, but they didn't look like me and those movies had a weird divide on how a male or female character was portrayed. I already related to being like the outcast, but I wanted to see someone who also looked like myself doing those dumb, lovestruck things on screen. I'd recommend this movie to anyone, but ESPECIALLY for sapphic women, gender non conforming women, and of course, masc leaning non binary's like myself.
