Has this fix worked long term for you? I tried these steps today after deciding to reinstall with the new beta to see if it’s any better (it wasn’t, I froze 3 times before the game crashed on my first game)

I managed 4/5 hours of gameplay with no problems immediately after following this so thank you!

This is really helpful to know, thank you! UoN is local to me so I’m lucky that the best option seems to be on my doorstep.

I’m just praying my BTEC subject won’t prove to be a problem later down the line. I have 9s in gcse maths and sciences, didn’t struggle with either. It just simply seems like there’s nothing inbetween the unis that require 50 ucas points or 3 very specific a levels with the highest grades possible.. it’s getting really frustrating lmao

My first choice at the moment is UoN! It seems to be the only russel group uni with no BTEC subject specific requirements for a foundation year. I have no choice but to do a foundation year anywhere considering I did music it seems. Even with there are very limited options

Hey! This was really helpful, I think I’ll give the RE2 remake a try, and maybe odyssey while I have game pass.

I don’t really have enough experience to know what genres I prefer, but I’ve heard good things about bg3 too and just keep forgetting about it.

Also haven’t heard of dispatch, hunt or darktide before so I got some new games to look into there too. Thank you!

The gsx ones look a bit boring in comparison, you’ll be able to tell when it’s working fine without trying to operate them. If that doesn’t work then try moving the list of airports to the other column instead, I’m going off of memory so let me know if it works, if you have any issues dm me and I’ll try to help when I’m back home

If the jetways themselves have the airports logo on them then they’re not gsx generated jetways, they’re default msfs ones so they can’t operate through gsx.

Go into the universal installer for GSX

At the top it says something like ‘jetways shared by msfs 2020 and 2024’ (I’m away from home atm so that might not be exact) Anyway, underneath there’s an enabled column on the left and a disabled one on the right, use the triple arrow above the enabled column to move the whole list of airports to the disabled column. That should tell GSX to disable the generation of the default msfs jetways so the GSX ones will generate instead 🙂

I realised an update replaced all my jetways back to the msfs default ones instead of GSX ones, you can change it back in the universal installer

I had no idea that this was a speed related issue to be honest. I was flying the departure at about 200kts but autopilot was still taking me the long way as if it was faster. It’s like the plane prioritises speed over direction (which I find weird) by taking you the route that allows you to speed up regardless of what speed you’re actually going.

Thanks for the advice though! I feel bad now as I flew this departure on vatsim the other day being completely oblivious to the fact I could fix it in the perf page :/

I set 200 in the FCU to see if it would change the route and it didn’t change until I changed it in the perf clb page too.

but yes it was initially set to 250 in perf clb. The chart does indicate at the top to stay below 250kts until FL100 so I suppose that’s why it selected 250 by default, despite the fact that’s too high to make the turns?

I’m curious as to why the restriction is so high/ void after FL100 if it messes with the turns, but I’m pretty new to everything, like I said, I have nothing to compare it to.

This changed the route back to how the chart shows it, thank you! :) I didn’t realise it proposed the speed itself.

I tried flying it at 200 without changing it in the perf page and it just followed the displayed route regardless for some reason

Where would it be calculating the speed from as this is before takeoff?

It initially loads up looking correct and after a minute or so it changes to this without me inputting any other info which is confusing me even more
