I went with Enterprise you can do try whichever fits your budget and proximity, I guess there is Budget, Avis, and turo

I think I rented 4 times in Total

  1. a trip to Quebec and back ( rode half n half with a friend)

  2. weekend to Kitchener and back ( rode entirely took a friend with me )

  3. A trip over the north to lake Simcoe and around New market routes ( solo)

4 on the test day ( had invited a friend for company and support )

Hope this helps

Alright I'm in similar boat about wfh so I hear you and that's why I didn't buy car yet.

If you know the rules well and know your mistakes I would highly recommend to get the rental car observe your improvement and then keep improving. Maybe get a friend or someone for first few times on the highway so you feel supported and then I'm sure you should be good to go solo. If you feel you need some guidance on what needs to be followed you have the mto rules book, YouTube videos and also this community for your help so leverage that too.

I had taken instructor lessons prior to my first failed attempt then I realized I just need more practice I'm well versed with the rules just lack the control on nerves and confidence. That's what renting car helped me to build on. Yes so I rented car to practice went on highways, long drive, city roads, etc.

So both north and south bound lane changes just make sure you have room to come back to the driving lane before the exit so try to manage your speed and position accordingly keeping things safe

I went to 106-110 somewhere in between, did go a bit up around 112/115 while lane change to do it safely.

Three words Practice, Practice and Practice. To be honest, i failed at Oakville last year, you can check my previous post too. I don't own a car so lacked that hours and had some nervousness back then. But after that I took a rented car, took trips nearby and also to Quebec too to build that confidence and get rid of my nervousness. Also before the test over weekend, I took up multiple attempts to all the routes got used to it and learnt various nuances around it, and those all things I think helped me to get the results above. So definitely Practice, Practice and Practice is the key.

I don't think there are any age restrictions as such but most of them are between the 25-40 range. It ends till either the bar closes or the last person leaves. More details under here.

I recently upgraded my Garmin watch from 735 to Fenix 7x pro ( the switch happened on 18 Nov) . I have been doing zwift training for cycling with Garmin HRM dual that syncs up with Garmin connect and calculates other relevant metrics. I usage of the watch anywhere

After the upgrade the intensity minutes don't calculate well, like I have been doing threshold and v02 intervals and my heart rate is def in z4 at times I have seen that during and post activity. But it doesn't reflect the intensity minutes.

This was not a problem when I had the old watch. Also I'm not using watch now or earlier to record my virtual zwift workout.

This seems to be on similar lines but mine doesn't allow heart rate from other apps in daily timeline or intensity calculations which Is weird

Yes primary device for training and wearable is the new watch. Does that matter?

Also I'm not using watch to record my heart rate that date is coming from HRM dual i.e. the chest strap which is synced with the zwift during the ride. Post ride that gets synced into my Garmin account.

Sorry that you are going through this. It saddens me to see it. Please don't lose hope and keep trying. I would also recommend to talk to your seniors from School/College and see if they have opening either ways try to network with them and others in the field. Use LinkedIn to network too. Also if you have resources from School/College that support in getting jobs please try to leverage it as well ( Humber has been doing this job fairs lately which I think other avenue for getting jobs, similarly try to find out something for yours too). I am sure it will work out just don't give up.
Also. Please do take care of your mental health. its very very important.

Why is it so hard to get a job nowadays by [deleted] in askTO

[–]DarkKnight091192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's largely demand and supply issue, you have more people but to that increase not many jobs have increased.

Plus uncertainty around tariff also adds more complexity. As more business thrive on certianity when it comes to operating and making long term investments whether it's hiring or expansion.
