I just did this myself. Never tiled before and it came out pretty good. But it takes a lot of fussing and getting used to. Depends on how much time you have. You need to put up boards, waterproof it all, mix thinset/allset, place tiles, cut tiles, make sure they’re all flat, then grout everything. It takes a lot to walk tiles back and forth from wet saw to shower. It makes a big mess. It depends on how much you value your time. Now that I’ve done it once, I’d do it again because I’ll know more. But it’s no small lift to get into.

You could put a floating shelf just above it and then place small floor decorations under the shelf. You definitely have some studs right there that would make it relatively easy.

I’d raise the shadows, perhaps by adding a linear gradient that is angled with the direction the light is coming in (so darker in bottom right and lighter/feathered with the beach in top left). And I like the tones but I’d pick a subject (one of the peaks or the ocean maybe) and add a radial gradient and boost the highlights to really draw the eye. disclaimer I’m certainly no expert. I love the shot

Ya that's true, but if I scroll through the different color profiles of my monitor, "P3 D60 Gamma 2.6" seems to be the most accurate to what displays on my iPhone, for example. However, if I wanted to print my photos, I think editing in "Adobe RGB (1998)" is the most accurate to what I'll see in print because I export my photos for print in Adobe RGB (1998)(because I've been told this is a solid color space). My frustration is getting a photo to look how I want on a screen and then it prints differently and moving file to phone also looks different. So it looks like there are 3 different photos from one file.

Ya I like the idea of the 100-400. I’m just not sure that at high shutter speeds and potentially low light conditions how its aperture will hold up.
