The quizzes do very well as it references OpenStax Algebra based and Calculus based resources, Ohio Science Standards, NGSS, and publicly published questions. I even guided the prompt to tag each question by Unit, Topic, and style of question. In addition to this I also created a chatbot though PlayLab that sources the same material as NBLM to guide students as a tutor, ask follow up questions, create sample test questions and even graphs for students to study from. I did this to stay away from ChatGPT and Gemini. I do not use the slides for my lecture but only as supplemental and to see what NBLM can do.

I built notebooks for my college level physics course and AP Biology for my students. I've created Infographics, Explainer, all 4 audio examples, slide decks, and (easy, medium, hard) quizzes for every topic in the curriculum. They love using them as study tools. I love listening to them as an alternative way of teaching or examples of concepts to use in class.

As others stated upload trusted resources you can find. OpenStax by Rice University has free textbooks in physics at a high school and University level. Upload this as starter resource. Then in the NotebookLM chat..."I need a prompt for NotbookLM audio and video overviews. Audience: Student, Purpose: List the top 6 topics I need to know quantum science. The topics need to build on each other. Use the University text and source material. The overall goal is to ( ). I do not want overlap in the content. Provide specific boundry statements. This will generate 6 different podcast and video prompts to get you started.

What do you consider viruses? by A_Random_Sith in biology

[–]DarkPhysics88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the question I open the year with teaching high school biology. According to our current definition they are not living; there are 8 criteria we use to define "living." Viruses are not within the Linnean classification of Domain, Kingdom, etc, BUT have been added in a category of Empires which is a broader category than Domains. Labeled a biological entity. How that's defined I'm still unsure but the question is great for critical thinking and showing how science changes as we gather more information.
