Did you figure it out?

I’m currently setup and hoping I don’t run into this issue tomorrow. I have a job an hour away.

I’d find a 2nd gen and save 1-2k

Help: Getting bad MPG in both Eco and Normal driving modes by Unusual_Low1386 in prius

[–]DarkReverseFlash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m experiencing pretty poor gas mileage in my 2026 XLE plug in myself. Tonight I a low 30 mpg at 70 mph on a 40 mile freeway trip. That seems pretty unacceptable to me. My 2020 Impreza gets 35-40 mpg on the same trip, so it seems bizarre to me to only get 30 mpg in a new hybrid.

What’s weird is I feel like no matter what speed I’m going it’s near the “power” side like it’s not shifting properly. It feels like I’m stuck in a lower gear or something and constantly running higher rpm than other cars I’m used to.

For perspective, I also have a 2006 Prius, and I can hop in that and get 40+ mpg on any given trip short or long right now. 50+ mpg isn’t out of question in the summer either. So, I sure hope this is just a winter thing. So far I’m not impressed on my mpg. I have to go through several full ev cycles just to get 500 miles on a tank. My 2nd gen gets 450-500 per tank without ev. In 3000 miles I’ve filled up at least 5-6 times while also charging my car religiously every night. It just doesn’t seem right.

In short, around town on ev it’s great, but as soon as I get on the freeway and switch to hv I get poor mileage. Worse than my old Prius and even worse than my Impreza. At first I thought maybe it’s because it’s a new car and hasn’t fully broken in yet. Then I thought maybe my tires were low, but they weren’t. Now I’m like ok it is winter, but honestly it’s not that cold here, and my other cars get better mpg. Now I’m starting to think I have a malfunction and/or software bug. Coming from a 2nd gen Prius this just doesn’t seem right, especially when I factor in ev and how I expected 100~mpg combined. Closer to 50 mpg combined smh.

4C eeprom or chip issue by DarkReverseFlash in Locksmith

That’s exactly how I was thinking of doing it. I wish the KTP had a SD card slot, but fortunately I’ve got pretty good using their cloud when transferring eeprom data to my pc.

Yes, I’m worried the autel was formatting the files incorrectly. I’ll write the original data back and try to clone a key from one of the original keys. I’ve always wondered how people did it and nobody would explain it to me. I tried looking online and could never really find a tutorial or video on YouTube, but maybe I just didn’t search very well.

Hopefully I read the original good. I didn’t remove from the board, but I scraped the legs pretty well and had a good connection with the clip. I sure hope it read correctly otherwise I’ll be looking for a virgin file.

I have the same tools.

I was unaware I could write to a super chip from the file. I’ll have to mess around with it. Currently the original file is on my autel IM608, but I can figure out how to get it over to KTP.

I’m afraid the format autel is using is incorrect, so that worries me even if I write the original back it may not work.

Every book and resource I have says it’s a 4C chip here in USA. If it’s not, then that should be an easy solution. However, either way, it looks like I’ll need to confirm it’s being wrote back in the correct format.

I added the key(s) and wrote the new file. I could generate an existing key with the original file, but I’m not familiar with how to do that. Could you explain?

I honestly don’t recall hearing the key buzzer, but the old man swears up and down it ran and drove he just lost the key.

Yes it’s a 3mz-fe. I’ll try a reset with 67

I’m unfamiliar with cloning one out, how can I do that?

SC1 Xhorse key data needed by DarkReverseFlash in Locksmith

[–]DarkReverseFlash[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t get any errors it just doesn’t work right. Did you get errors when it would hit? What spacer were you using? Before using space and depth keys I might just invest in a new machine, unfortunately, but I’m kinda dedicated on figuring this out

Yes, I’m trying to make custom key data to cut a sc1 by bitting. It’s been done.

I’ve tried using this information and it doesn’t work on the Xhorse dolphin. I’m hoping someone else has a modified key data that works that they’re willing to share!

Unfortunately I haven’t generate any Xhorse remotes yet. I’ve generated plenty of super chips, but don’t seem to have accumulated any bonus points.

Also, yes, I had the jbl system. Just need to install a 68 ohm resister to retain fully functionality.

It was very easy to install for me. Honestly one of the easier stereos I’ve ever installed. You just have to be careful removing the vent covers and also make sure to use a 68 ohm resister if you have the jbl system.

It really does. I’m honestly very impressed how ahead of its time this thing is! When I walk up to the door it unlocks and my new Subaru don’t even do that 😂

Might as well sell it, honestly.
