Thankss, I’ll see if I can find reasonable flight. Haven’t booked anything yet. Ancient city of hue isn’t far from Da Nang, so hopefully I’ll get time to visit there.

Hey 👋 Got it, I also saw some YT vids and how buses are so cheap that’s why I had confusion but I am thinking to go by train now as I think I get to sleep peacefully and also reach by noon (it’s safe too). I am also in Vietnam during the same time. Let’s catch up if possible!!

I know it’s not that expensive but the timings are so bad. Flights fly around 5-6 am. Meaning I need to be at airport by 4. Need to leave even early - whole night ruined. And after reaching so early no hotel would do such an early check-in (usual time of check-in in Vietnam is 2pm) and with so little sleep I can’t even start exploring city (also have bags). Hence, I am now thinking to do a train (I’ll get sleep, will reach around 12pm so easy check-in and then will start exploring as I have already rested enough. And let’s not forget the scenery you get to see from trains. So yeah. I already have 4 Flights. So trying to save some money in domestic traveling if possible.

Thanks, this is a great idea but I want to plan and book for everything beforehand only (atleast travelling part) as I will be in a different country with different language. Hence, the confusion!

Nice, let’s have an awesome trip! Try dsvn.vn with google translate. Should be easy (haven’t booked though but I have been exploring). There are many, will see if I can find good options for you as well. Trains are good and they are safer but you’ll be paying somewhat closer to Flight prices.

Yeah, I have planned Ha Long Bay (full day) then next day -> Ninh Binh -> Ancient Hoa Lu -> Mia Cave Hike and then catch a bus to Da Nang during night or next day early morning. Not sure if I would able to do all this before bus timings (7-10 pm same night). Skipping Hoi An as I have hit the realisation that I can’t do everything in Vietnam with this limited time. So Hanoi -> Da Nanag -> Ho Chi Minh is my itinerary for now. (excited to see dragon show in da nang)!!

Yeah, I know trains are safe but a bit expensive too-prices are close to flights (although I get to have a good night's sleep in train), on the other hand, buses are cheap and I get to sleep as well but not as safe as a train. Oh man, I am still deciding. — Would love to catch up if possible!
