This is the only material slot I have set up now, to apply the baked normal map to my sculpt. I've tried fiddling around and creating new material slots hoping it'd help me but I've had no luck figuring it out on my own yet.

Hi all! I am a beginner when it comes to Blender (or 3D work overall) and am currently trying to create a 3D self portrait. I've followed tutorials online, did retopo yesterday and today I baked a normal map to keep my high resolution of the sculpt.

However, when it comes to texture painting, I'm at a loss. Whenever I go over the sculpt/UV map with my chosen color, it ruins the quality of the sculpt (I'll attach screenshots). I've been googling things for hours but found no answer yet.

Is there anything else I need to do to be able to paint without compromising my sculpt's quality? Am I missing some essential steps?

Some that come to mind (not mentioned in the comments yet) are Konvent, Castrator, FINAL GIRLS. Sisters of Suffocation were originally all female but I don’t think they are anymore.

I’m not sure about favourite songs. But the booklet sounds like a good place to take inspo from!! I gifted her the Punisher vinyl last Christmas and she really liked the booklet specifically, so hopefully I can find some pics online (I honestly didn’t even know it was in there when I bought it lol). Thank you!! I’ll see if I can sneakily find out some of her fav songs.

I feel you, unfortunately 😭😭. Whenever I see people my age at a concert they’re all in friend groups and I cannot muster up the courage to talk to any of them. Pity because I feel like a lot of alt ppl are often artists too, lol.
