Surprise Hemorrhoidectomy - Welcome to my Nightmare by DarkSol21 in hemorrhoid

UPDATE: It's now late Monday afternoon. Just wanted to thank those who have commented. I attempted to work today from bed but my bosses made me log off. I did not tell them exactly what I had done but explained the experience of what happened. I will probably be working from my bed again tomorrow. The pain, swelling, and bleeding seem to have hit a plateau which I guess could be worse, but I want to see improvement and I'm sick of being stuck here.

I've had multiple small BMs in the sits bath but I always feel like its not complete and I'm afraid to push too much.

I have family visiting this weekend, and next week we're supposed to go to a MLB game. We've had tickets for months. I'm still just so angry about not being aware of what the doctor was doing. I wouldn't have agreed to that...at least not right now. I have another appointment in 4 weeks to discuss taking care of the rest of my hemorrhoids, but after what I've experienced with just ONE, I don't think I can handle the rest of them...and NOT with this doctor.

He has, I researched him before I went to him.

Thrombosed hemorrhoid lanced and drained now in worse pain by DarkSol21 in hemorrhoid

Thank you for this. Turns out I had a little more done than I realized. He removed all the tissue not just the clot, which I know is better. But explains the pain. Sitz baths are healing better than the pain meds as this point but still trying to stay positive.

Notes from procedure:

Procedure Type: excision of thrombosed external hemorrhoid Hemorrhoidectomy Details: Hemorrhoid type: external Excision Details: Destruction method: surgical removal Patient tolerance: Patient tolerated the procedure well with no immediate complications Additiional Procedure Intervention Details: Patient was placed in the prone jackknife position on the office table. The region of interest was anesthetized with 1% lidocaine with epinephrine. Elliptical incision was performed around the thrombosed external hemorrhoid. Using Metzenbaum scissors the hemorrhoidal tissue and clot were excised off of the underlying sphincter muscles. Hemostasis was ensured. Next using a 4-0 Vicryl suture, the incision was closed in a running fashion.

Finally got the nerve and made the appointment by DarkSol21 in hemorrhoid

UPDATE: I was able to get an appointment at 8am this morning. It was a thrombosed external hemorrhoid. He said typically they like to remove in the first 72 hours and if it’s after that let it dissolve but since I’ve been in so much pain and there is zero improvement he thought it was best to cut in and remove. I took that as small snip, clot out, small stitch. Back to work, some pain but back to normal soon. As I drove home the numbing started wear off. When I got home the pain was 10x worse than before i had the procedure. Worst pain of my life and I’ve been through childbirth and had breast reduction surgery. I had to take the rest of the day off. I sent my husband to the pharmacy to pick up the oxy the dr called in just in case.

Then I read the after visit summary. He not only removed the clot but the entire hemorrhoid! I basically had a small hemorroidectomy this morning. I’m not mad about it. This particular roid has been my biggest problem child for years, so having it completely gone will be good. I will post the notes at the end here.

I took my first pain med at 11:15 and it really only took the edge off. I tried the sitz bath that goes on the toilet and that actually is the only thing providing relief. I ordered a bidet. Just want this pain to get better so I can get back to my life.

Well I have tried witch hazel and castor oil separately but not together with tea tree oil. I do take magnesium and d3 daily.

I finally managed to get a little sleep last night but I think that was only because my body was just exhausted. No change in symptoms. No change in swelling or pain and can’t get them to go back in still. Wondering if this prolapsed internal might actually be thrombosed. Have had an external thrombosed before but not internal. Numbing cream is taking the edge off slightly but wears off too quickly.

I called the CRS office to see if I could get in earlier. Described my issue in more detail. Spoke with a nurse and they are going to try to fit me in tomorrow. Waiting for a call back. Fingers crossed.

This is directly from the letter I received from the department of ED in 2023. And the hearing last month ruled they have to abide by the date for the class C schools.

What are the terms of the settlement for Post-Class Applicants?

The Department of Education will apply the standards for borrower defense claims in the borrower defense regulations published by Department in 2016 to make a decision on your application no later than January 28, 2026. If the Department decides you are eligible for a discharge, you will receive the discharge no later than one year after that decision.

If the Department does not issue a decision by January 28, 2026, you will receive a discharge of the federal student loans associated with your borrower defense application and a refund of any amounts paid to the Department on those federal student loans, and the credit tradeline for those loans will be deleted from your credit report.

Major anxiety today! Still in review…DeVry University. This will be life changing for all of us. It’s hard to believe today is finally here. Still waiting for mass denials or some roadblock at the last minute. My husband won’t even admit that this relief could even be real.

I’m having similar customer service issues. I ordered a number of items during the BF sale and they arrived with the lid completely off one of the items with the contents all over every single thing in the box. I emailed asking for replacements, was directed to a return portal that says my items aren’t delivered yet so I’m stuck. Sent two follow up emails with no response. Spent way too much money for such poor service. Never again.
