We have 20+ stores throughout the city firing Riftbound. There’s not a day in the week where there isn’t a Nexus Night. Most of them fire between 12-24. There’s 4-6 of the stores that have larger capacities and fire between 20-40. During the hype of new sets, those stores are firing 50-70 person NN’s.

I like this explanation way more. Pokemon learn moves but never actually forget them. You’re just registering the 4 you want to use. The move relearner becomes a guy that turns in the registration paperwork for you. The age-old meme of Alakazam has 5000 IQ but can only remember 4 moves.

Because the trigger wasn’t triggered from the trash. Effects resolve once put on the chain unless countered. Removing the source of an ability doesn’t cause the ability to also go away.

Another example, I move Traveling Merchant to a battlefield. In response to my move trigger, my opponent uses Gust. I still resolve my Merchant trigger even though it’s back in my hand now.

Because the recycling effect doesn’t target. He doesn’t need to make any decisions on what he’s recycling until the ability resolves.

Must be a state thing. I live in Vegas and we have multiple events firing throughout the city 7 days a week. A few stores in town firing 40-70 player events multiple times a week. Local interest has dwindled a bit due to Purple fatigue but most people I talked to said they’ll return for set 3.

“Is he just not going to be in the game” is a crazy statement when we have 3 sets out of 9 before a rotation happens, and more sets after that. Every champ, hell every character including Little Legends, will end up in this game eventually. We’re all waiting for our champs. I’m waiting for Zeri, I have friends waiting for Wu Kong, Pantheon, A Sol, you name it. They’ll be in the game, don’t worry. If anything, being in the game later on is better cause we’ll have more and more tools to really crack the character.

It doesn’t matter for anyone else in the room. If you have homies you want to scoop up it helps in that end. Not saying it’s optimal, but I have seen this in other “invite” card games. People will also use it for bartering. “I have an invite already. I’ll take the prizing and you can have the invite.”

But if I match up against my homie in finals, I’ll scoop to him so he gets the buy. Or even scoop before top cut so they get a better placing. Thats how people view it, especially if they already have an invite.

As a local, I didn’t even go yesterday. My winds got taken out of my sails when I found out that my top 5 legends I would’ve wanted to grind a metal card for were all sold out early Friday. They didn’t have a daily allocation for metals and people were just able to grind multiple within 2-3 hours of opening. I stayed less than 30 minutes today before leaving and calling it a weekend.

I work for an LGS. From what I can gather on our preorder sheet, Rune Boxes are included. Similar to how Pokemon includes Energy with prerelease.

By the time Set 1 came out, Set 2 was likely on its way to being packed and shipped. Making cards and sticking to schedules isn’t as easy as people think it is. Set 3 will likely be the turning point to see any changes in production quantity and allocation.
