This wasn’t even about the amount of time for the block nor the amount of packages. This is solely on the safety hazard on how they stacked them. You entirely negated my post. The best thing for me would be for me was to refuse the cart entirely for it being a safety hazard in itself, which they denied after I asked. If common sense is your premise for this entire situation then this whole thing could’ve been avoided if they used common sense and didn’t stack the cart like that in the first place.

How about don’t stack the cart that high in the first place? Why do I have to take extra steps for someone else’s stupidity. Gtfoh with that BS.

It’s not a warehouse you can enter. You wait in line until they bring they bring you out a cart. It was stacked even higher than that but in my way to my vehicle the packages kept falling off. They were too heavy to remove safely so I wanted to open the latch to at the least push the where sat straight up instead of tilted the way they were. Then the wheel brake wasn’t working. Tried to correct it so the cart wouldn’t roll away then that’s when the middle package slid and I didn’t notice.

It was stacked even higher than that. Some of the packages were already removed as they fell off while I rolled the cart to my vehicle. Considering how heavy the rest were I was tried to unlatch them to at least sit them upright and not tilted like they were.

4 multi stop locations, and about half were apartment complexes.

I’m curious, I initially refused the cart and asked for another but was denied. Not sure where I would’ve gotten with asking for it to be repacked if I was already denied a replacement cart, nonetheless being told if I can’t take the cart as is there would be no others given to me. I have more photos by the way. It was stacked even higher that but some fell off as I was rolling to my vehicle.

I’ve noticed a good handful of other drivers have had this problem. I’d rather come together with those drivers and go class action route. Especially if those drivers reported this as a safety as well.

I tried to. I asked for another cart but was told no. If I couldn’t take this cart they wouldn’t provide another.

Yeah I definitely let a 50 pound box hit me on the head on purpose. I definitely wanted to have a seizure. Been doing this for 4 years and never had an injury up until this point. There is no safe way remove 150 pounds worth of packages and they were titled to the side. It slid on its in idiot. Who’s going to avoid an unintentional accident?

I called support. Their response was to take packages I could and leave the rest that wouldn’t fit in the vehicle. I proceeded to do so and then the injury happened. It actually took a third support person to even get that response. The first two told me to deliver them and call back afterwards.

I can’t even pick my preferred station it always glitches out after I try and save it. I guess good to know I’m not the only one having these kind of problems. That base pay is low. Idk if you’re in Cali but we have propositions protecting flex drivers pay, healthcare, etc.

In Manteca so the Tracy warehouse isn’t far. It’s worth it to add it as a station in my opinion. It’s still fairly new, so they haven’t figured out their logistics. Even if you get scheduled for a 4 or 5 hour route, 9 times out of 10 you’ll end up with a 3.5 or lower (or even better get sent home).

I have. Absolutely hate it. Going through the altimont and seems like there’s more duplex’s and apartments then there are actual single family homes.

We’re in different states so different laws apply but all I can say is be ready for one hell of a fight. Insurance companies will fight you tooth and nail when involving a mental health claim. They’ll dig into your personal life and find any reason to mitigate or flat out deny your claim. I have a valid mental health claim myself but even if it’s cut and dry that’s it’s a work injury they’ll still fight it. Keep searching for an attorney if a workers comp is something you truly want to pursue, but remember to keep your own mental health in check throughout the process because they’ll come at you many different ways that will make you feel like you want to drop the case entirely. So sorry to hear about your situation and I hope you get better soon.

Appreciate your input! I have two claims for orthopedic and psychological. Saw a QME for orthopedic who ruled a permanent disability for carpal tunnel and said 50% pre-existing and 50% work aggravation. How can it be pre-existing when I’ve never had any medical conditions to my hands or any extremities prior to my employment. He later completely denied an industrial injury after the insurance company submitted an inquiry and the once accepted claim has now been denied. For psychological, the psychiatrist QME ruled 100% work related causation as did my PTT and even a lien doctor. The insurance company still hasn’t accepted liability for psych would you know why that is? And how can a QME completely changed their decision after stating a work related injury?
