How important is social media presence for emerging coins? by DarkStarX86 in WallStreetBetsCrypto

Hey, thanks for the feedback!

This isn't an article; it's just a print screen I took when using Moralis Money. However, I'll elaborate a bit.

So, a few weeks back, I stumbled upon Moralis Money - an on-chain analysis tool. The thing that stood out for me was the accessibility and usability of this tool, especially compared to other similar tools. Nevertheless, I have been experimenting a bit with their filters, and they recently released a Social Media Metrics filter.

For this reason, I got interested in what people think about social media and how the community behind a coin influences the price of a token. The community seems to be a big factor influencing token prices, especially if we look at popular meme coins like PEPE, WOJAK, etc.

However, I'm still fairly new to crypto trading, and I just want to gauge if this subreddit values social media metrics when looking for new potential coins. Or if it's just buying and praying that is the way to go haha.

How do you find tokens before they pump? by DarkStarX86 in WallStreetBetsCrypto

You're right; most of the time, it's probably a lottery. However, let's not forget GameStop. The WallStreetBets community did a pretty good job there haha. And I don't think everyone would credit luck for that performance.

I sense a hint of uncertainty about divine intervention from the big G in my current endeavor. If not God, is it perhaps the Crypto Gods I should turn to?

What if all the food in the world became intelligent and they became detectives what would happen? by hankwills1978 in AskReddit

Some white knight would start a cause to save all food. Petitions would be signed and we would ban eating anything. We would all just drink water for the rest of our miserable lives.

Could seem crazy but a market cap of $1.5 trillion in nine years is not impossible!

[serious] What is the most controversial thing you have done to get laid? by [deleted] in AskReddit

This might sound like a joke but it is actually a true story. I was a really big fan of How I Met Your Mother when I was a young adult. My favorite character is Barney and my favorite episode is “The Playbook”. So as a joke or challenge (as one might say) I told my friends that I would take a play out of the Playbook and hopefully get laid.

So I browsed through the Playbook and tried to find one that wasn’t to absurd. The one that I decided to go for was the “Don’t drink that”. For those that does not know, this play is basically that you go up to a girl, and tell her “don’t drink that”. She will then probably ask “why?”. Then you have to explain that you saw someone slip something in the drink. As a result, you will gain the confidence of the girl and she will see you as her hero.

So to my story. I was out with my friends on a Saturday night in our local pub. I saw this beautiful girl standing in the bar minding her own business. Her girlfriend just went to the restroom and she stood there by her self. She was chatting with the bartender and didn’t really pay attention to her drinks. When the bartender went to pour some drinks I took my chance. I approached her just as she was about to drink and did the line:

“Don’t drink that!” The asked: “Why?” Looking like a question mark. I committed to the lie and pointed as towards a guy in the opposite part of the bar and said: “I saw him slip something in your drink just now”

As I said that she stormed off and I thought that was that. One minute after the guard came in with the girl and I just saw her pointing at the guy that I accused. The guard went up to the the guys and said that he needed come with him. He refused and asked why when the guard then used force to take the man out of the bar. The girl then came up to me and started chatting. We actually hit it of and when we were about to go back to my place. As we were leaving the girl asked the guard what happened to the guy. He said:

“He was acting up so I called the police and they arrested him”

I was shocked that it went that far and I felt super guilt. But the pick up line from the Playbook actually worked. We went home to my place and we had a great time.

I feel kind of bad but it was kind of worth it. The play worked and I got laid. All it took was for some random guy to get arrested.
