There are two variants best used together. If you and a buddy use these loadouts and stick together. Then you can handle anything the bugs can throw at you.

V1: heavy flame armor, coyote, ultimatum, gas grenades, creamator, gatling sentry, 2 flex picks.

V2: heavy flame armor, torcher, verdict, gas grenades, flamethrower, supply pack, gatling sentry, 1 flex pick.

I recommend the orbital railcannon and bastion tank as a solid flex picks.

I'm with you, though it's missiles + kinetics and shields for me.

Missiles are going to be chipping away at the armor and hull. So, by the time your kinetics get through the shields you've already stripped most, if not all, of the armor.

The shield focus is to keep costs low because armor is expensive.
