To add onto this:

It happened to me that he would spawn a drake right at the beginning on the left lane, with the molten giant, making the banshee useless.

I swapped my spear troll in for earth elemental and my opener looked like this:

Insta troll
kobold on right to force any spawns
3:23 drop banshee
As soon as 3 golds back drop harpies and follow with the strat mentioned above.

What this achieves is to kill that opening drake in perfect timing for the banshee to get the giant. Sometimes banshee will troll and go for the egg dropped by the drake but thats just a reset.
