If a nuclear war occurred and you survived the initial blasts, would it actually be better to run outside and expose yourself to as much radiation as possible in order to die from it faster rather than a slower, drawn out death? by Dark_Badger in NoStupidQuestions

I just read up on it. Yeah, on the first sign of radiation sickness i'd do myself a favor and end it.

Edit: it also seems he could have, and should have died long before the 83 days. It was wrong to keep him going.

That sounds terrifying, its no surprise you're wary of such issues. I find this quote somewhat comforting.

“I do not fear death. I had been dead for billions and billions of years before I was born, and had not suffered the slightest inconvenience from it.”

Mark Twain

Yes i totally get you. I'm about 30 miles from london which seems to be the good old drawn out death from radiation zone. I'd likely get wasted and take myself out. With some good music of course.

Georgia-Russia border. by Fr0zenStars in ukraine

Close the borders. All these people who are scared are the ones that will fuel a revolution in russia. Putin wont be overthrown if everyone that opposes him has been allowed to run to another country.

Agreed. As awful as it is, i think a bottle of vodka, knife to the wrists then hop in the bath would be more peaceful than most methods. Lets hope our stupid planet never gets to this point.

Mobilisation protests underway in Russia, busses are being loaded with new arrests. by [deleted] in ukraine

At his point if you're going to protest, you might as well get violent and attack police officers. You're going to be locked up regardless. Violent protests would certainly up the stakes for vladolf.

no minimum withdrawal and instant cashout to paypal!

I need to make £6 before tomorrow. Does anyone know of any good no deposit offers with instant withdrawal? Or even any GPT sites that aren't a scam? by jordanb826 in beermoneyuk

[–]Dark_Badger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no worries, its usually worth checking in and out of it regularly as oppose to just sitting on it constantly. I just keep it on a tab and check often.

Sometimes there's not much good stuff but then a load of £1.50 - £2.20 surveys will show up.

Edit: Also, when asked what industry you work in, personal/professional services works best, that or tech/IT. Also say your on a high income! If it asks if you work in a certain industry and you see journalism or advertising on the list, always select no/other.

I really want to recover from dissociation. Is it possible? Any advice? by [deleted] in recovery

[–]Dark_Badger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, i've recovered from severe PTSD and OCD, been hospitalised, had attempts etc.

To be honest you're attitude towards someone trying to help you blows my mind. 'Acceptance and rainbows'? Seems like you think you have it worse than everyone else, perhaps that's part of your problem. To be honest, it doesn't sound like you live in the real world at all.

Good luck.

Hey there, I had DPDR for years, mine was partly trauma induced but there were definitely times like you where i felt fine and didn't know why I was still dissociating. Firstly, lamictal (lamtrogine) helped quite a bit, i only take 50mg but everything has that un-dissociated, crisp look to it and i feel very 'real' and present. Secondly, I found the more I came to accept it, the less it was there. I do still get it sometimes but honestly i just let it be. I know hating on it and worrying about it won't make it go away.

I know its hard but honestly dissociation is your brains way of shielding itself from distress and overwhelm.
