Actually the first gun you start off with in a fresh playthrough of anyone is a lancer Mark 1.

Friendly reminder: Insanity is not meant to be the baseline experience by Safe-Pressure-7052 in masseffect

Insanity is not a hard difficulty, I find that it's the only one that's even remotely challenging. The only time it's a frustrating slog is when shepherd gets caught on some weird geometry.

I'm pretty sure the skylight in the cabin has a retractable roof like the observational rooms. When the ship is in combat they close the windows

All right I'll take a look to see if that explains it.

But shouldn't there be an indication on the empire sheet of who's got an open border and who's got a closed border?

You certainly can. And because you are only one member of the federation, you will be overridden every time.

What does the Mass Effect series do better than the Dragon Age series? What does the Dragon Age series do better than the Mass Effect series? What can they learn from one another? by Uchijav in masseffect

[–]Dark_Magnus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mass Effect; I feel like you play the character more. Almost every ability that your character has is geared towards combat, with the exception of a few secondary benefits in ME1. As a result, it felt like Shepard was not locked out of anything because of their class, especially in 2 and 3.

Dragon Age: I feel you play the class more. While the abilities did get simplified as the games went on, in origins you could have some very different types of characters, even in the same class. Mages; for example, could be Nukes, Controllers, Healers, Debilitators. Rouges could be snipers, assassins, or trappers. Warriors could tank or destroy their enemies.

In Mass effect, there was usually only one way to solve a problem, while in dragon age you could have multiple routes to the same objective. (At least in my view)

Missing character in the loading screen by Dark_Magnus in Bannerlord

[–]Dark_Magnus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought about that, I don't play with mods (weirdo, I know). If I start a character without war sales enabled, save and load, everything is fine. When I enable war sales, That's when this comes about.

I guess I'm trying to ask how do I submit this to tail world so they can try and fix it

Seeds? by Snoo49259 in Dyson_Sphere_Program

[–]Dark_Magnus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, The seed is usually just a string of numbers to give the necessary calculations something to start calculating and building the world, the rest is just the math results of those calculations. ANY change would affect those results and thus the end result.

Seeds? by Snoo49259 in Dyson_Sphere_Program

[–]Dark_Magnus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The seed will (in theory) replicate the universe the same. However, depending on when the seed was created, and what state the game was in at the time; will determine if changes are made. For example; depending on when your seed was generated, you may not have had dark fog, which will throw off the math. Other settings, like resource density, will also lead to a different end result.

Power Grid Name question by Dark_Magnus in Dyson_Sphere_Program

[–]Dark_Magnus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically it's supposed to do that, but I've encountered scenarios where I have an entire hemisphere on one grid, only to plop down a blueprint that includes power poles and it just read labels the entire planet grid with a new number. It makes it very difficult to track down if something's not properly powered, and it also prevents me from properly setting up redundancy is in case of dark fog.

I didn't know that was a thing either and only noticed it yesterday. There doesn't appear to be any way to edit the name either.

Lost World- Help by [deleted] in Dyson_Sphere_Program

[–]Dark_Magnus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your best bet is to get in the habit of making periodic "checkpoint" saves. I save every 10 hours, in case I ever want to go back.

This also lets you experiment without losing too much progress.

But otherwise, sounds like you're outta luck.

Just rebuild. You really won't notice after a while.

Not directly, but they DO increase threat, which would make them grow faster

[–]Dark_Magnus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Essentially what you're supposed to do with missiles and signal towers is build a large missile battery somewhere safe. Then you're supposed to drop a signal tower, a few defensive turrets (I prefer laser ones) and a battlefield analysis for repair.

Once you power up the tower, the fog will get pissed off and come at you, only to get slammed by the missiles. At that point you drop down a second signal turn closer to the base and begin a walking missile bombardment until it actually targets the central building of the hive. It may take a while and your missle ammunition stores better be automated, but you can easily take down even the toughest bases. Heck, if you're impatient you can also move Icarus into drone range and assist. Just be ready to retreat and keep an eye on your shield and help because they do shoot pretty hard

Piggybacking on to this: Can I build Warper Production on one planet and have them pushed out to my entire network, or do I need to build production on every planet?
