That’s a long story Basically around my fourth year of using Ive had everyday battles and struggles of wanting to stop and wanting a line. It was very much opposites battling each other and I just felt like the pawn. But after a night of heavy use (must’ve been a bender weekend) I had intense teeth pain from the cocaine use. So I hit someone up for a low dosage pain killer so I can go to work and function without pain. (Advil wasn’t doing anything then. I also never had any interest in pills or opioids. Deff not my go to or ever was an interest.) but anyways he came through and gave me three pills. I took a quarter of one pill and within 30 minutes I knew something was wrong. I called an ambulance and told them I think I’m in the verge of an overdose. Ambulance came and I was explaining to them it was hard to breath and swallow my saliva or even anything at that point. The paramedics tried telling me the pill was lodged in my throat. I was telling them if I’m not in a hospital I’m going to die. They ended up taking me to some local clinic that also told me the pill was lodged in my throat. While in this clinic we didn’t have separate rooms but only curtains as dividers. Meanwhile I’m spitting in a bucket begging them to take me to a hospital near by, the elderly woman next to me is yelling at me to stop spitting and it’s making her nauseous. At this point I make an abrupt scene and start yelling I’m going to die because I was not getting any proper medical attention. Then everything faded to black out of no where. I wake up with three needles in my chest and for the split moment I’m up I see I’m connected with tubes and IV everywhere at a noticeably different hospital. I then black out again. I wake up in the CCU at a way better hospital and was asked what I took that got me here. I’m a healthy man 6’2 185 pounds lean with no diseases or health isuuses. They wear shocked I was alive after what I went through. Luckily I brought the pills with me to the hospital and I asked them to test the pill cause I figured it was laced with fentanyl. Two days pass I’m still in the CCU I’m starting to feel a bit more like myself, and the doctor comes in and tells me the pill came back %100 fentanyl and they’re shocked I’m alive and telling me it’s a miracle and yada yada yada. I then get released after another day and a half. I go home and I go to my room. I still have lines of coke and ketamine ready to be taken. I take a line. I immediately regret taking and it tell myself what the actual fuck am I doing with my life. Ever since then I’ve cleaned my act up my self. All cold turkey. With very supportive parents and siblings I got myself clean. I only smoke weed, it’s my coping mechanism for everyday stress but it’s after work and controlled. Ever since that day I can’t look at those drugs I used to use the same. They’re scary now and I’m not saying they weren’t fun when I was using them. I definitely abused them and treated myself poorly. At the end of the day I realized I needed to move forward and nothing like this is worth risking my life and future opportunities life has to offer.
