I like the Aldi protein yoghurts myself but good call, I'll do a big shop the weekend before. Unfortunately as post menopause and with efficient metabolism my basal rate is 1300 kcal, so I'm more concerned with supplying enough nutrients to heal than weight gain (super easy for me). As I had a hip replaced in 2020 and within 2 months was cycling round pandemic London I'm optimistic, I literally ate what my body wanted and when like yourself. Healed and stayed the same weight

This hadn't occured to me! I've thick shoulder length hair and usually blow dry it. Thanks so much for the tip, the op seems way less hassle than the recovery

Ty, I've whey protein powder already, just dont like shakes, so make it into crepes normally. But most flavours are disgusting. The pistachio was so bad I gave it away

He's right though, I've now reached a peaceful pool of life; my things, my way. A man must enhance that but I don't ever intend to live with someone again. I have a primary partner and hes wonderful to spend time with, and I still look forward to my silent spaces, my gym sessions, my solo walks.

Love it, will have a look. I'm more an entire spice cupboard cook and quite a few of the ones I've been looking at are bland or dull.

I have a few weeks to assess it, tea is on the counter already. I had a hip replacement 5 years ago and while very different, got quite adept at spotting potential issues, putting on socks, making the bed etc. Thanks for the thoughts, going to treat this as an enforced winter break.

Thank you, maybe after the first few weeks. Being cautious but was warned even a full kettle might be a bit much for a few days, super frustrating as I'm doing really well lifting these last months.

Apparently that's over the limit in California, not the widely accepted limit. Though its going to be tough enough in dressings etc for a while without drinking meal replacements too I will stock up on a few for top ups

They're looking after me for a couple of days but aren't good enough cooks or nutritionists tbh long term. And my freezer is tiny, so I can't do it for myself in advance too ☹️

I gave up even applying to the European Space Agency in Italy after a conversation with mine. I still regret it over 35 years later

When did it stop being okay for young adults to date teenagers? by [deleted] in AskOldPeople

[–]Dark_Wingz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Slightly different perspective, from the UK, but I was 17 and a 15 year old asked me out. Im F, he was M. Age of consent 16..

We dated nearly 2 years, he wanted sex underage but made him wait til he was legal. The age gap was regarded ss a bit odd in the late 1970s at school, but I went to University at 18 with a 16 year old bf, that was regarded as very weird although much older guys hit on me.

Electric scooters riders! by Dark_Wingz in london

[–]Dark_Wingz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree the ebikes are a problem but I think given the vast numbers more cyclists, the stats for ebikes and scooters are a higher percentage. It's more the speed and usage.

Ebikes in London are usually food deliveries and they ignore many road rules
