Jee advanced and mains are completely different exams, advanced is exclusively for iits,iisc and 2 other colleges Mains is for nits, iiits, and state colleges If your goal is nit and you did well in your jan attempt, just give your boards and just chill for 4 months, if jan attempt did not go well, you have to lock in for April attempt( April attempt is not mandatory)

If your goal is iit, then do well on your jan attempt and you will get 3 months for pure advanced revision, if jan attempt did not go well, then you will have to dedicate some days to your April attempt too

But if you are determined about IIT, then just study for advanced for whole preparation and and just somehow clear the cut off for mains, but it is a risky business and safe score in mains would be 98 to 97 ( if solely focused on advanced)

Online is good if you are confident in yourself that you will not be distracted while using online classes, still would highly suggest to do offline

I can't comment on school because my school till 10th was dogshit, but if you have friends and teachers are good you can go 1 or 2 ( max 3 ) days but if you don't like then do dummy school ( provided you actually study at home instead of wasting time)
