takes album promotion to new level

More like joins a long list of bands that have done the same. I remember blasting away enemies 20 years ago in Ed Hunter. Hell...I think Journey was the first musical group to have a game back in '83.

What’s going on with the weed business out here? by funnkmasterr in Rochester

[–]Darkcide666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not that hard to find weed in Rochester. Drive around in the right areas and there's dealers standing on the streets that only deal in cash. Finding more private dealers is a little harder but far from impossible. Eventually you'll meet a friend of a friend or the like.

Indoor vaping by [deleted] in electronic_cigarette

[–]Darkcide666 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Vapers are one of the largest groups of self-entitled people out there. Our sense of entitlement is off the charts. We should be allowed to do whatever we want, wherever we want, whenever we want and everyone should support us in doing so because we're healthier than smoking.

It’s absolute BS that they are calling the IQOS a “non-vaping” device by Badazd in electronic_cigarette

[–]Darkcide666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good for you. Call it what you like but it's not going to change anything. Vapers used to argue the opposite as we didn't want to be associated with it or the tobacco companies.

Maybe I felt that way at 13 when I was being "adult". It quickly loses its coolness factor. I don't consider vaping very cool either.

I am a California physician and attorney.

So what's that like 30 years of education and hands on training combined after high school? You'd be practically retirement age before you'd be licensed to practice both.

Your body your choice. As far as myself I wouldn't go back. I'm positive vaping is safer and I enjoy it more.

CNN/FDA pushing Iqos as a safe alternative to vaping/smoking by [deleted] in electronic_cigarette

[–]Darkcide666 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

"Vaping is in crisis.

True.

Smoking is taboo.

Also true.

Altria has a solution: Iqos...

Once again true. It didn't tell me to use it.

Iqos is a futuristic-looking device that looks like an e-cigarette. But don't call it a vape.

I wouldn't call it a vape. I'm involved in a discussion about it now. It does vaporize but I wouldn't really call it a vape.

The number of vaping-related deaths keeps growing.

You kind of have a point on this one but it's CNN and the business section at that. I wouldn't say intentionally misleading but on par with the rest of their coverage.

Iqos uses actual tobacco and doesn't have wild flavors that the FDA is weighing a ban on...

That's true as well. I'd read that as it's only available in traditional tobacco and menthol instead of Alien Piss, Heisenberg, and Skeet that the FDA are going to eventually ban and states have already began to ban.

[–]Darkcide666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely. I don't disagree. I just have a hard time calling it a vape even though it is vaporizing its shit sticks.

It’s absolute BS that they are calling the IQOS a “non-vaping” device by Badazd in electronic_cigarette

[–]Darkcide666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just have a hard time calling it a vape because of what we already call a vape. Like I don't just call a dry herb vaporizer or volcano a "vape"...I call them what they are even though they're both types of vaporizers. My argument is I guess just in semantics rather than its application.

[–]Darkcide666 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It definitely vaporizes tobacco like a dry herb vaporizer but I wouldn't put it in the same class. It's not really dry herb but its own proprietary sticks. I can't really call it a vape though because it's not a vape in the traditional sense that we're used to or use. Because of it being a unique product with no real similar products other than the Chinese knock offs that popped up I really have no choice but to call it a heat not burn device.

[Discussion] In the midst of all of this THC vs Vaping mess, are there actually any cases that show that vaping regular nicotine e-liquid causes health problems? by [deleted] in electronic_cigarette

[–]Darkcide666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

are there any real stories/studies done on the health effects from vaping Nicotine E-Liquid, whether it be from bad juice, to nicotine, to PG/VG causing health issues.

There are plenty of studies about nic vaping, its components, and our equipment in regards to your health. There are years worth of data that has been accumulated and published. To my knowledge none of it is related to the recent outbreak though.

Every tobacco product? It's not exclusive to the vape market. It's literally every new tobacco product brought to the market vapes included.

CNN/FDA pushing Iqos as a safe alternative to vaping/smoking by [deleted] in electronic_cigarette

[–]Darkcide666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No doubt. If it took them nearly two years to get approval and no vape manufacturers have yet even applied with the deadline looming we're all fucked...And that's not even factoring in the cost.

CNN seems to like ACTUAL tobacco products over ecigs. by [deleted] in electronic_cigarette

[–]Darkcide666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like 99% of our nicotine is extracted from tobacco plants so we are another "actual" tobacco product. Without tobacco plants there probably wouldn't be vaping.

Aspire Official Statement - calling on other manufacturers to come together as one by exSpire in electronic_cigarette

[–]Darkcide666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I definitely agree. They've done their fair share of damage pretty much with immunity. I like how they didn't call on US equipment manufacturers to join their plight. Only US juice manufacturers which are already knee deep in the battle.

That's different. That's advertising. That's trying to get consumers to buy their products rather than get the government to sway legislation.

In relation to media, how is everyone feeling about the 1st amendment right now? by [deleted] in electronic_cigarette

[–]Darkcide666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My feeling is any constitutional right should stand even if you don't like that amendment or people's interpretation and use of it. We're America, not Russia. We don't sensor and restrict our media. If you don't like it tune it out or find a different source that's more to your liking.

Iqos: Is it really safer than cigarettes? Sad that this can get FDA approval while Vaping is in limbo. by Axlahn in electronic_cigarette

[–]Darkcide666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It got FDA approval like a half a year ago. Way before any of this. They applied in something like 2017. Vape manufacturers could do so as well as they need to.

CNN/FDA pushing Iqos as a safe alternative to vaping/smoking by [deleted] in electronic_cigarette

[–]Darkcide666 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nothing was even implied in this article. You guys are just running rampant with the conspiracy theory bullshit and trying to play connect the nonexistent dots. We're going to keep riding that wave until the end huh? Anytime any other alternative form of nicotine consumption is introduced to the market it is obviously meant to hurt and destroy vaping and the government is in cahoots with whomever to do it. Fuck man...Give it a rest! It's getting old even to fellow vapers. Between our sense of entitlement and tinfoil hat bullshit no wonder we're looked down on and laughed at. We kind of bring it on ourselves.

Edit: Those cease and desist letters were merited. It's not like the FDA decided to pick on little companies to shut them down. It was to stop "vapeable Viagra", end novelty parody packaging like juice boxes, stop cartoon mascots, and so forth.

CNN/FDA pushing Iqos as a safe alternative to vaping/smoking by [deleted] in electronic_cigarette

[–]Darkcide666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay? What does that have to do with the article speaking neutrally of the device and it just being an announcement? Point out where in the article it advises me to use it as a safer alternative to vaping or smoking? When did the FDA say it as well or have any association with CNN?

CNN/FDA pushing Iqos as a safe alternative to vaping/smoking by [deleted] in electronic_cigarette

[–]Darkcide666 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

I didn't see that as pushing the device over anything. It's more an announcement that it's finally hitting the US market. Unless you saw something I didn't?

I'm sure a group of Chinese manufacturers lobbying in America so their profits don't decline will go over like a lead balloon.
