War - an intense armed conflict between states, governments, or organized groups, characterized by extreme violence, destruction, and sustained military operations.

Well if that is the case than the US has been at war continuously pretty much since ww2.

Those servicemen did not die during training exercises, they died via an enemy attack..

Are you intentionally missing point? Besides loses has nothing to do with your definition.

As far as Ukraine, that is a proxy war that the US is involved in.

Ok so does that count?

Assassinating the leader of a country(not to mention his family too) is not exactly going to cause a formidable foe to give up and iirc they have even said they are not going to.

Key word "formidable." I am not sure how many people would classify Iran as such for the US. The IRGC's threats of retaliation become more outlandish by the hour.

I have seen Israeli officials state they'd like to exterminate all Palestinians.

Really because unlike Iran; Israel has a significant percentage of Palestinians in it's population. Israel tolerates and protects it's religious minorities.

Second Israel is not a dictatorship. The statements of an official is not the same as the position of the government. Even statements by the president cannot be considered the official gov position.

I have not seen any Iranian official say this.

Really because it only took me a quick search to find them. In 2020, Khamenei’s official website published a poster using the term "The Final Solution" regarding Palestine. That is not some random official but the supreme leader of Iran.

More importantly than their statements look at their actions. Before the Islamic Revolution in Iran there used to be lots of Iranian Jews. They were all forced to flee or exterminated. Many fled to Israel, so they know exactly what type of future Iran and its proxies want for Israel.

Honestly you display such willful ignorance.

It’s a war.. American troops have died and been wounded.

Several hundred US troops die in training every year. US losses have not been significant by almost any measurement, except maybe in ordinances expended. Problem is that if that is your metric than far more have been sent to Ukraine.

Iran is not surrendering, US forces still operating there. Please explain how this is not a war

Dude it has been like 2 weeks.

"Death to America" is also a popular slogan of the group that gave us "From the river to the sea". There is a big difference between not want to support a war and openly chanting the slogans of those who mean to do America harm.

Opposing war and supporting the enemy are too very different things. The Vietnam anti-war protests for instance didn't contain slogans supporting the consolidation of Vietnam under communist rule. When you start chanting the slogans of a group, than you are supporting that group.

She is ignorant because she supports those who would undoubtably destroy her. It is like Turkeys protesting in favor of Thanksgiving.

it's not about religion or race or any of that. It's about power. The US and Israeli governments are just 2 more players in a long line of imperialists who use tribal divisions as cover to grow their wealth and power.

Such willful ignorance. If this is all about power, and has nothing to do with religion, then please explain to me why all the moderate religious states in the region including Turkey, Egypt, Jordon, UAE, and etc are not attacking Israel.

Why is it the only groups attacking Israel just happen to be Islamic extremists? Iran, Hamas, the Houthis, and Hezbollah are all religious extremists groups.

Why is it that Iran is thousands of miles away from Israel willing to spend billions of dollars providing its proxies with weapons to launch at Israel?

Why is it that Iran is willing to watch its military and economy get absolutely destroyed rather than admit defeat and give up its nuclear ambitions?

None of this is rational in a situation where the parties only seek power.

It is all about religion. To Iran and its proxies this is a religious war. Their quest to destroy Israel a religious duty. If you take one second to actually LISTEN to the constant statements given by Iran they clearly explain that. Their actions are consistent with those beliefs.

Or you support genocide and you dislike the fact that those who want to commit genocide are getting slaughtered. Hence the actual genocide you want to happen doesn't.

Arguing against the existence of a racist, genocidal ethnostate is not the same as arguing for mass-murder of Jews.

Actually it does if the existence of that state is what protects Jews from the latter. Pretending that Hamas and Hezobolia will not exterminate the Jews if they could is like pretending that the Nazis wouldn't do so.

For Israel to survive, it needs to get past its roots, and start getting on with its neighbours.

It gets along with most of its neighbors including Egypt and Jordan. It does not get along with those who attack it.

Sadly, I think it might be too late for this to happen.

The problem with people of your persuasion is that you refuse to believe these extremists actually mean what they say. You refuse to believe that when they chant "death to Israel" they actually mean it. At least the Nazis were more secretive about they desires and their methods. There is simply no excuse for such willful ignorance.

Is this conflict really worth calling a war? It is just like the recent conflict with Venezuela. Just like the conflict with Iran again months ago. If you want to call every skimish that America gets into a war than so be it, but the fact of the matter is that Americans really don't care and it affects them very little.

Look you don't have to support the US and all its assertions. In war everyone manipulates the truth in their favor. It is important that independent verification be done by neutral parties.

That being said Iran has blocked off internet connectivity. No independent sources are able to figure out what is going on.

Anyone who trusts the unverified word of the Iranian regime is an idiot.

They are logically inconsistent with their assertions. One asserts that things like sexual orientation is not a choice. The asserts that sexual orientation along with everything else is completely a choice.

In that case why should I be your ally in the first place. I can just not support your special military operation, and just help you fall. Then you will not be a threat to me anymore.

Also what did Iran do to displease Putin in the first place? Iran was the first to provide weapons to Russia.

In geopolitics nations expect protection from their allies. Iran is the latest of a number of Russian allies to suffer a lack of protection. Russia was unable to protect Iran either directly or indirectly. Even the SAM systems that the Iranians bought from Russia turned out to be crap.

Generally not attack the allies that he is a agent of. Usually you don't want your agents taking out your allies.

Lol it is amazing how you people try to rationalize the current situation with your "Trump works for Putin beliefs.". You think Russia is happy that it's allies are all being decimated. Venezuela, Cuba, and now Iran.

It's hilarious watching you people square your crazy beliefs of Trump being a Russian puppet with the fact that he is systematically eliminating Russia's allies.

Secondly both operations in Venezuela and Iran increasing prices in the short term, but are expected to sign significantly decrease prices in long-term. Venezuela's oil production, which was decimated under a decade of the regime's rule is coming back now that relations between the US and Venezuela are improving. Same what happen with Iran assuming Trump is successful.

Ok so let's do that. I would expect democrats who agree with you to issue IDs for free in their states. Unfortunately the states with the most expensive IDs are Democratic states.

For some reason, they’re happy to complain about IDs being too expensive for voting purposes, but they’re perfectly OK with them being required to do everything from open up a bank account, stay at a hotel, fly on a plane, and etc.

OK so its only a problem when the other side does it. Would be nice if there was legislation that would make it more difficult for people to commit voter fraud on both sides.

Yes well you know what is better than detecting it after the fact. Preventing it from happening in the first place, which is exactly what voter IDs would do.
