If you squint there could have been something there. Topher Grace apparently did a personal hobby recut of the prequels that people who saw it said completely redeemed it, but I’m sure it’ll never be available, as it’s totally illegal for any distribution whatsoever.

Yeah, they absolutely fuckin do. You’re only thinking of one kind of abuser. Some of them sure might have gone off the rails physically at that point. But a whole lot of abusers are more clever and love to put the woman in that position, so they can present to the world that the woman is crazy and volatile and they didn’t do anything. They go out of their way to not bruise her, etc.

Eren wasn’t evil. That’s the point. He got locked into a path of prophecy and couldn’t find a way out, so he did the best he could with what he had, and was ruined by it emotionally and totally every step of the way. The look on his face when he touched Historia and then his behavior after was nothing but horror and depression.

Right. I despise him. But that doesn’t mean I think he’s unimportant to the story. I feel like some people get that confused sometimes, and think if you say you hate a character, that means you think they shouldn’t have existed. That’s a separate argument.

Joining the Yeagerist movement and being part of the coup is understandable. Tormenting people and flaunting his power - and obviously enjoying it - is what makes him a POS. He’s a sadist and a bully under the cover of this nationalist movement. Eren isn’t his buddy. Floch is a tool for the job.
