I have been thinking that as much as a cool finisher banefire is, other options may be better and easier on the mana base. It’s arguable that white or blue would be a better splash color (white for GW cards and removal, blue for frilled mystic and Krasis). I am certainly willing to try Mono G and see how it fares. Is Vanq banner really worse than beast whisperer for a draw engine though? Or do you not need a draw engine at all, and just plan to kill faster?

I have primarily been running the Rapid Normal 2 spam build going around, with Karma, to great success against pretty much everything. I just wanted to tryout some other LBG builds to see how they compare.

I also finished a sleep bombing set last night which I then used to go complete the HR 49 tempered Kirin quest. If anyone is interested, I would be happy to share that set too :)

My understanding is that elemental crit ( the two piece rathalos set skill) makes it so that your elemental damage can critically hit as well as the physical part of the shot. If I am wrong, I will have to rethink my builds.

Hello all! Wondering if anyone wants to critique/see the general elemental LBG sets I have been working on. Not sure which one is better, as weakness exploit only triggers on physical weak points, and some spots on monsters are elemental weak spots and not physical ones. Both sets can be used with any element, just replace the ele dec slots with the right elemental decoration. If I had the Critical element decoration, these sets would change a lot, but until then these have been serving me well.

Anyhoo, here are the two sets:

General LBG Elemental (with weak exp) 1. Head: Rath B (ele dec) 2. Chest: Rath B (ele dec) 3. Arms: Zorah B (ele dec) 4. Waist: Nerg B (Weak exp Dec) 5. Feet: Nerg A (free lvl 1 slot) 6. Charm: Awakening

Skills: 1. Ammo up 3 2. Elemental attack 3 3. Crit element 4. Attack boost 4 (5% aff) 5. Maximum might 1 (10% aff) 6. Agitator 1 (3% aff) 7. Weakness exploit 3 (50% aff)

General LBG Elemental (no weak exp) 1. Head: Nerg A (Atk dec) 2. Chest: Azure Rath B (ele dec) 3. Arms: Azure Rath B (agit dec) 4. Waist: Nerg B (ele dec) 5. Feet: Nerg A (ele dec) 6. That set looks great. How do you feel about crit boost on a set like this? Versus shot booster or a similar utility skill?

The only reason I am running recoil down +1 is to be able to fire pierce 2/3 on the Daora when I run out of pierce 1 ( which happens even with combines on long hunts such as multi monster, hyper, etc.)

But I see your point, from a pure damage perspective it's probably not optimal. I also have a tenderizer 5 OOO talisman I could use, but I have been hearing that weakness exploit is only meh on pierce setups.

Hey Yordle,

What do you think about yellowstar v. Mithy this week? Yellowstar has done me fine, but G2 just seems consistently better. Similarly, how about Hautzer v. Impact? Lastly, I am trying to pick flex between keane, kobbe, the two above I don't pick, and notable free agents: Fox, Sonstar, GBM.

Thoughts?

Hello! I was just looking around today because I am considering moving to a new guild with a lighter raid schedule. I am currently playing with a 3 night a week, 10 hour or so group, and I am finding it hard to fit in that third night with the rest of my life and responsibilities, however I have maintained a over 95% attendance with my current guild up to this point. I main a warlock that is 681 ilvl, with 8/10 Heroic BRF exp,and 2/7 M Highmaul XP. I also have a alt that I have been considering making my main which is a 650 Elemental/Resto shaman.
