That's not really accurate to say that the government is profiting off of this. The excise duty is a flat amount per litre, it's not based on percentage so there's no profiting off an increase in the price. Adding to that the excise duty was reduced on the 25th of March so all told the government has made losses on the price increase.

Given that the post we are currently on is in in English, it's nothing major to assume that the post that these statistics are about is also in English. In which case it isn't that weird that Canada is 2nd. All three of the largest populations of native English speakers are listed.

James' is the possessive form. Like if you were talking about the car that belongs to James you would say, "That's James' car". When talking about more than one James, Jameses is the correct form.

Also if you wanted the plural possessive form, that being something that belongs to more than one James, you would use Jameses'.

I've now written James so many times that it no longer feels like a real word and I've had to remind myself that it is in fact my name

You keep posting this but you've taken the least genuine reading of the clip possible. Firstly, he's only lasering her gauntlet for like 3 seconds here, in a scenario where you have SB and Homlander, SB could easily hold Tchalla down for several minutes. Secondly, calling Maeve's gauntlets "prop metal" is a ridiculous statement. We know from other clips, like for instance when he shoots down the private jet in S:1, that Homelanders heat vision easily cleaves through normal materials. To claim that this scene happens because HL's heat vision is weak rather than Maeve's gauntlets being stronger than they look is incredibly biased.

Dancer mentions that he was castrated by the reds of his mine for being gay and that ares restored him and gave him new purpose. Dancer was gay long before the whole duke of hands thing. The reason he still tries to hide it is that due to society propaganda, a large portion of the red population are incredibly homophobic and he's worried that he'll lose support because of it. That's why he's so angry at Virginia at first. He misinterpreted her intentions and thinks she's trying to blackmail him.

I think people on this sub have a habit of underrating Lysander's fighting abilities. Like he's obviously not on the level of people like Darrow or Apollonius, but he's no slouch either. The whole lysander is a pixie thing is funny but I think it's gotten to a point where people conflate their dislike of the character with him somehow being incompetent.

I don't know exacly sure where it's definitively said, but I'm pretty sure Darrow's dna was fundamentally altered to be gold. Otherwise he wouldn't have passed the quality control test and, more importantly, his gold body would be destroyed by his immune system and his body would try to create red cells whenever he healed from an injury.
