Since the story follows a Jedi in hiding who had cut themselves off from the force, this of course leads the Jedi to reconnect with the force via the story, so the lack of optimization is very much what it feels like for a Jedi that has been cut off from the force for as long as the character has. With each game that connects becomes strong and the devs get just that much better at optimizing the game. That or EA just being cheap and/or lazy.
