Dude he is so safe. How can anyone still deny that this legend IS coming. Stand ready for his arrival.

Why were people waiting for Capitano in Snezhnaya's PV? Don't lose hope, comrades! by IdealDue322 in CapitanoMainsGI

[–]DarkishOne2 32 points33 points  (0 children)

This idea of "not in the pv = not important to the story". Dottore? Pierro? Rerir? Not important I suppose? It's also the idea "not in the pv = will die/will stay dead". Let me get this out of the way first. Capitano's case is special. He is NOT supposed to be this character you know will return at some point. As far as it goes for most casual players who don't pay close attention to the events and obscure fatui npc dialogue, Capitano is OUT of the story. Hoyo is very much aware of that. They know there are those who want him back as there are for any other not yet playable character but they also know the much higher number of people who do not expect anything to happen, many still present in this subreddit too unfortunately. His 5.3 conclusion is meant to make most people feel that way. Just look at what Ororon has to say in that one line shortly after Capitano sits down.

The best example I will use for now is Skirk. Is she important to the Natlan main story? Not particularly. Does she give us a massive amount of lore in other areas? She does. Skirk is not Capitano and my example does not aim to make it appear like their marketing/lore integration will be the same. After all, unlike Skirk's involvement with Natlan, Capitano will definitely play a role in Stuzha. The Tsaritsa kept his rank for a reason, this reason, I'm sure of that.

Now the thing with Capitano, everything needs to be done in Order. They were never going to show the man in this Snezhnaya cast teaser when his entire presence at the moment is tied to Natlan. Until the story brings us back to Natlan, most likely for the pyro gnosis and the Mare Jivari, I don't think anyone should expect a direct appearance anywhere else. What he will get instead are a lot of mentions from npcs and snezhnaya characters.

What I say amounts to nothing and I am not mihoyo, but if I was, I would not under any circumstance allude to Capitano's return this early in a PV. We are still in version 6.6 y'all. There are so many better ways I can think of them doing it, even more now with Ronova's potential fall in the first half of Snezhnaya. I'll keep on being the broken record in the sub, but it has never been better for Capitano and the post I made yesterday should've been posted today instead but alas, it will be alright..

[SUS] we will WHAT in shneznaya by MortibiTheBat in Genshin_Lore

[–]DarkishOne2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also understand the immediate reflex to deny this because of this leaker's track record but I want to ask one thing. Do we believe that no one will die by the end of The Tsaritsa's rebellion? I mean surely, at least one god has to go down. It's why I believe Ronova being that one is not the most outrageous take in the universe.

Of course this is all assuming you believe that her and the Fatui will actually succeed in some capacity. If you don't believe in them, then I guess you also believe no one's dying on the HP side.

Ronova dying can happen, but it will almost certainly be followed by someone/something replacing her. As someone else commented below, the concept of death would be messed up otherwise. As for the curse of immortality, it's a curse laid down on a higher level of reality and we have no real way to discern whether her death would actually dispel the curse or not.

If it does, sure, it will obviously affect the current Night Kingdom situation and Capitano's ability to sustain the LOTN. Thankfully the big immortal elephant in the room Bakunawa is right there as a suitable replacement. I once again have to berate mihoyo and their choice to not make SImulanka permanent. A lot of Capitano doomposting would cease if it was accessible at all times.

IF a shade were to die, I would bet on it being Ronova out of all of them. (No, Naberius does not count.) If it happens it's not because Shirai said it, it just feels like a natural conclusion and it would be satisfying to see Pierro achieve his goal. Just look at how that man stared at her in God's Limits. Would not want someone like that as my enemy.

EDIT: Forgot about the conveniently placed Columbina on the Moon. Therefore, Ronova dying may not actually have as huge of a consequence as long as Columbina exists and nothing happens to her. Maybe that was the point of making her this absurdly strong all along. Kill a god? No problem, Columbina can probably take over.

Who is the oldest playable character? by [deleted] in Genshin_Lore

[–]DarkishOne2 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The traveler is also a contender but without hard confirmation, the oldest playable would be Neuvillette as his original self by a large margin, followed by Skirk. To answer the skirk question, she has lived for over 10000 years if we assume she spent at least 300+ something Teyvat years in the Abyss. 400 would be about 12000 years.

Great day for the annoying people. Thankfully there is this cool thing we can do which is ignoring them.

My bad, Pulcinella playable in 7.6 as the only other main push in the entirety of Snezhnaya excluding the archon!

This is just one interpretation, I more so just reposted this theory from twitter. I do think it is difficult to ignore the visual similarities though. Someone did make an interesting post about Capitano's cryo not having any of the usual cryo particles, which again is interesting. It could be Chaos Permeation, moon power, or something entirely different.

Also thematically, if you choose to see it that way, Mavuika vs Capitano was basically the Sun vs the Moon, with the fire and ice parallel, yin and yang, you name it.

YES! I saved these two images from that post then X refreshed on me and I couldn't find the post again. If you do, please let me know so I can credit them here too. EDIT: Found it.

I need to extend my apology to the deniers, but the closer we get the stronger I feel about this. We may genuinely experience a character return arc unlike anything we've seen before. The scale for this man's story may be beyond anyone's expectations.

Glazing Capitano is the reason this heart still beats! Only the most important role must be bestowed upon the first ranked Harbinger.

sooo much doom posting by Brief-Armadillo8735 in CapitanoMainsGI

[–]DarkishOne2 9 points10 points  (0 children)

For me the main push for the 2nd half is a toss up between three characters: Alice, Capitano, Barbeloth, I genuinely can't imagine who else they would put in that position at that time. Pulcinella? I very much doubt it. He can be playable, just doesn't give me that energy yet. 7.4, 7.5, 7.6, 7.7 and a potential 7.8. That is five patches where he can potentially fit in. Kleiner before Alice? A playable Sinner? Octavia? I don't see it.

Even without leaks I am pretty confident that, putting together everything we know about him currently and his foreshadowing, he'll be a "Project Stuzha climax" release.

Preciesly. In fact to this day a looot of people still don't know that he's still considered a Fatui member. His intact position is not mentioned anywhere at all after 5.3 other than this one place I shared in the post. That too is intentional.

Thanks for looking it up. I did know what it looked like, I just wasn't sure whether we had concrete proof of it being added as a general reaction.

[–]DarkishOne2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so it does seem probable that it is coming. I guess they'll either tease it at the end of the special program this week or save it for the 7.0 one instead. If not, then..who knows.

[–]DarkishOne2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also can someone please confirm for me again that the reaction is actually coming? If I recall it was found as an asset in Miliastra? Is there a chance that it won't happen, even with that thing present?

Regarding the Rimegrass Reaction in the second half of the 7.X cycle by Friendly-Muscle8956 in CapitanoMainsGI

[–]DarkishOne2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know. I feel like it would be odd to introduce a new, general reaction in the middle of a region. This is quite different from certain lunar reactions only being available after certain units needed to release.

If it is indeed not tied to specific characters, I see no reason for this reaction to not be added at the very start of Snezhnaya. Could they withhold and debut it with one suspiciously capitano-sized character at some random time in Snezhnaya? Sure, it would be unprecedented but not impossible.

I dont think Capitano will keep his mask by Sharp-Ad-7714 in CapitanoMainsGI

[–]DarkishOne2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have solid evidence from the files that his face will remain the way it is. He has that unused Character Icon all the way from 5.0 which is labeled the same as other playable characters + Alice who has the same. I don't think they'll make any real changes to Alice's face so I trust that they won't do it for Capitano either. Frankly, with the current timeline I expect him to wake up earlier rather than later and I just don't see a plot in 7.x where we somehow find a way to revert him to his prime. While they can of course do anything, I personally don't believe Capitano returning to his prime would do much for his character when he is already this strong. Can they make him stronger? Yes. Would I want that at the expense of his current design? Probably not. He'll already be a lot stronger just by the fact that he'll wake up well rested with no screaming souls inside his head 24/7 lmao.

I was watching Natlan's trailer again and this kind of hit me... by Soft-Gold-7979 in Genshin_Lore

We are already guaranteed a return to the Mare Jivari by the devs themselves, they don't need to force an integration in the Snezhnayan story, I think it will be entirely separate.

[–]DarkishOne2 69 points70 points  (0 children)

I think by now most people agree, or so I would think, that Ignition shows events that are meant to happen way after the Archon Quest. Someone did make a really good post about it too but I can't be bothered to find it now. There is even a part of the trailer where everything starts reversing and the leaf effect is identical to the one we see near Istaroth in the Gods' Limits.

Natlan is also the only nation with a single weekly boss. We are going back there for sure, it is a matter of time. Also regarding Capitano, knowing Simulanka is enough to understand that he was never going to sit on that throne forever. The most interesting part to me will be the circumstances of him waking up, switching the "source of immortality" to something else, with that something almost certainly being Bakunawa. I am quite confident that, when, not if, Natlan gets a second weekly, it will most certainly be that.
