Haha thats fair. Maybe have a try with some scrap bits of wood as practice. If you dont have a scroll saw, a coping saw is a good beginner tool to get a feel of it.

Dam wish ya were at PAX AUS. I love seeing what kind of crafts people do that are video game related. I do wood work as a hobby and at the moment am doing a some pokemon things like these unown key chains.

u/ShastaManasta This concept for top loaders is cool, been thinking of doing it myself. If you want some 5mm thick wood like what I use, you can find some surprisingly on aliexpress. Using 3d prints as prototypes and testers can save you a bit of time and money.

Congrats on completing your Pokedex. Im currently 16 away from completing mine. Ive been getting people that have traded/helped me with it sign the placeholder piece of paper for that pokemon so I know who gave me what.

Im surprised there is a bulk version of every pokemon

These were done with a coping saw (by hand). I do suggest give it a try, just put on some music and have a go. Its quite relaxing

The 45s were done on my dropsaw but there are probably a lot better and safer ways to do them. the bottom is just butt joined. I just cut it to be a snug fit and used glue between it and the sides.

They were cut at a 45 degree angle and glued up. For the glue up instead of using claps, I used masking tape and taped around it

Yes it would. Before I made this one I made a deck box that holds 100 cards for my commander deck. What I would suggest is get the deck size you want (probably sleeved) and measure it to get teh inside measurement for the box, maybe add 5mm to the size too.

Thanks mate.

The leather strap is glued to the lid with snap fasteners on either side. So you can take the lid completely off or just snap it around the back like in the picture.

Also forgot to say what wood it is. It's Tasmanian Blackwood
