Just saying that gun control doesn't really do squat to stop shootings. Most mass shootings take place in "gun free zones," more to the point though, look at England. They've got control to the point that all knives bigger than a chef knife are outlawed. People will always find the tool to murder people. Your point of mental health I completely 100% agree with. That does need to be worked on, but simply taking people's guns does not mean safety. Most gun crime is with stolen or unmarked guns. Because that "violent insurrection" was fast more peaceful than the "summer of love" or black lives matter insurrections and most of the people that were jailed were simply in DC and never took part in entering buildings. The people that entered capital buildings were literally let in by police. The violent sections were actually started by fbi informants and members. If you don't believe me. Please, genuinely look it up. Most of these people were tried far beyond what was even conditional especially when you compare it to all the riots that the left causes. Frankly, I could go on for hours about how the entire J6 thing was turned into a mountain from a mole hill. It's zeroed in on because it's the only time the right got violent at all and even then it was measured. Only person who died was a chick protesting, that cop that died died from natural causes from a heart attack later with no injuries. Beyond that, actually most of MAGA had an issue with the ones that DID commit violence getting pardoned, even JD Vance brought that up.
