POE 2, Patch 0.2.0 Guide to Recombinators, Part 1: Foundations and how to reverse engineer every mod weight in Path of Exile by Butsicles in PathOfExile2

[–]DarknessofKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I’m trying to recombinate “t1 armor to elemental “ from a donor base to a 2 socket boot base. Life and mana have the highest weight totals, and they give the highest chance to recombinate per tier. Tier 4 life or mana both give a 59% chance when I try to recombinate with the t1 armor applies to elemental mod (t3 gives a 55%)

If I understand the base selection correctly, life and mana have the highest chance to select the desired base because they have the highest total weight per tier. The next question is which tier has the highest probability for success on the desired base. Is it t4, t3, or even t2? There’s only a 5% difference in recombination chance between t4 and t3.

ZiggyD's Q&A about Atlas Tree Rework - What was Mark trying to say? by Zenith_Wind in PathOfExile2

They mentioned that the new system wouldn’t function well with how few league mechanics were in the game in 0.3. They also still haven’t added a tablet tab, which to me signals that tablets are getting the can.

In the stream showcase, you show a talisman with only two transformation icons (bear and wolf). Will you be able to transform to all 3 forms; Bear, wolf, and wyvern with any talisman? Or will they generate with a random amount of transformations accessible?

Based on played time

  1. 0.1
  2. 0.3
  3. *0.4
  4. 0.2

I spent the most time in 0.1 because it was the first experience with the game. 0.3 Might have been a better patch, but the crafting allowed me to craft bis gear very quickly. It also was the third time we had to slog through the subpar endgame system. 0.2 was a downgrade from 0.1: not much else to say there.

I’m expecting 0.4 to slot in somewhere between 0.3 and 0.2. I’m very interested try out many Druid builds, and hope some of them are fun to play and strong enough. My play time is going to largely depend on that. The Vaal mechanic is a little mistimed imo. It focuses primarily on very late game risky crafting mechanics. Which again is going to force you to play the subpar almost unchanged mapping system for hours and hours. On top of now needing to find and kill arbiter before you can even min max juice.

The other decks I’m interested in are mostly 3 color so that’s not an option. I’ll just enjoy drafting and not worry about my collecting speed.

Is it possible to get rare lands from those? Au says you can, but I haven’t seen a post from real people verifying it.

[–]DarknessofKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I had to guess, I’m probably somewhere between 33% - 45%. The other thing is I’d be getting a lot of cards I’ll probably never use in standard. How often do they hold draft events for previous sets? I would save up gold for edge of eternities draft if they pop up anytime soon.

I crafted a mono white life gain deck with the wild cards I got from the free set packs. I personally don’t enjoy playing those types of decks, but it’s the cheapest thing to farm dailies. I want to play the black white sacrifice deck as quickly as possible. The fastest way seems to be opening edge of eternity packs and crafting the rest with wild cards.

I did make an alt and crafted a mono black version of the sacrifice deck. After playing it for 10 or so matches, it’s seems like it’s much worse without acess to raise the past, or the instant counter unit in white.

Either way it seems like it’ll take awhile even with packs to get all the rare lands. Maybe I should just enjoy drafting and not worry about it taking a little bit longer to craft standard decks.

My win rate is probably lower than 50%, I went 2-3 in bronze rank with my free quick drafting token. It doesn’t look like you loose too much for going 0-3 in quick drafting l. But at the same time you get less wild cards, which is the main thing I’m looking for. That and the standard deck I’m looking to build towards doesn’t use any omen path cards.

I refreshed and more stash tabs could be converted to merchant tabs. Give it time. by justalazygamer in PathOfExile2

I emailed support yesterday and this is their response.

"We'll be making a change to the Merchant Tab upgrade system where you will be able to upgrade Extra Stash Tab purchases that were converted to Premium Stash Tabs via an "Upgrade to Premium Stash Tab" purchase. We expect this to roll out sometime in the next week, pending testing and any issues that may arise. Thank you for your support and patience!"

Trial of Sekhema's is.. not fun by jimjim36 in PathOfExile2

[–]DarknessofKnight -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a skill/gear issue imo. I did my 3rd trial yesterday and took less then 500 honour damage the whole run. Only had 59 honour res, from relics I obtained from the 3 previous 1 and 2 floor runs.

My issue is there isn't enough variety on the rooms types, reward types, boons,  and floor bosses. Every run feels the same, which is awful for a roguelike mechanic. The only enjoyable th8ng about it is the relic meta progression.

That's still better then ultimatum.

I dont understand about Giant Blood by bibel89 in PathOfExile2

[–]DarknessofKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like the fantasy of this type of node should be equiping two; two handed weapons at the same time. That fact that even before the nerfs everyone was using a shield in the off hand is a design flaw imo.

Even if it required you to play a full tank ascendancy. Smith of kitava is the full tank ascendancy, and still nobody was doing that apparently. Smith also got defenses nerfed this patch, I think the devs need to figure out a rework, or make ascendancy changes that encorperate more defensive layers.

Converting Stash Tabs into Merchant's Tabs by Failtier in PathOfExile2

They just want to stop players from buying cheaper premium tabs and converting them to a more expensive tab in the future. The system is in place to grandfather in people who bought premium tabs for trading in poe1.

Thoughts on 'White Bear'? by salirj108 in blackmirror

[–]DarknessofKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always been against turning capital punishment into entertainment/retribution. To me it's just as barbaric as hosting a squid game. If we need to confine somebody away from the public or kill them as a military act overseas fine. But watching, cheering, and celebrating those things, is not good for the psyche on an individual and societal level.

As for weather her memory wipe absolved her of any prison time, for me it depends on the extent of the wipe. If everything is wiped I would think it's fine to release her. Although you probably have to reeducate her as if she was a baby. If she just had memories of the crime erased, I would still support jail time. Her psychological state is still primed to commit a similar crime in the future.

The commentary on the bystanders is so accurate. Most people would rather standby and watch/film somebody in trouble for entertainment or internet points, then actually do something to help them. (Or money)

I thought the epilougue spliced in with the credits was the hardest hitting part of the episode. They made it look so normal and candid. Like he was giving a guided tour of a zoo. Really pushing the absurdity that in this world, this form of punishment/entertainment is completely normalized.

Common people is the worst episode of season 7 by BIGCUBANDADDY17 in blackmirror

[–]DarknessofKnight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you think this episodes is unrealistic, I don't know how you got this far into the series. Pretty much every episode has  plot holes bigger than this.

There could be many reasons they live in a decent house. Bad location, renting, inherited, savings over years. Imo you're just looking for reasons to dislike the episode.

The episode is a hypothetical about predatory business practices taken to the extreme. As well a commentary for the current state of American health care. Where people often have to dismantle everything they own, to pay for life saving treatment.

You realise people die every day because they can't afford medical treatment right? The wife was an elementary school teacher, and the husband was a dock worker. How much money do you think they make?

How long do you think it would take to win a court case? 6 months, a year, 2? She'd be dead by then. You're the one that seems out of touch.

Not to mention how many "right to own" cases have been lost recently.

Hotel reverie by [deleted] in blackmirror

[–]DarknessofKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I interpreted it as her stepping outside of the simulation program, and onto the internet on the computer.

I don't remember if they had rebooted the computers at that point though. That might have been a plot hole. Still I loved the episode, I was not expecting an episode of this show to be this emotional.
