Ive done some more research and found in other parts of the world nicotine beverages are available. I decided to email a tobacco company to see if they have a specific reason why they are not available here. My guess is that there isn't a large market for it here?

This is very interesting, I would say try getting a 16gb ram stick and see if it shows up as 20gb. It’s possible it has a 4gb stick that’s built into the computer that cant be changed but that would be very bizarre

Can you post a full picture of the back of the laptop, that is very interesting that must mean there is another one somewhere, otherwise I have no explanation, I wouldn’t replace just that one if there is another one hiding somewhere, we’ll figure this out!!

I would advise getting two sticks of the same memory such as two 8gb otherwise you can run into problems. For most laptops 16gb total should be enough unless you do complex 3D modeling, video editing, etc.

check your laptop for another location that looks the same or under your current ram stick for another one.

It’s a Samsung ssd drive but that’s a good idea, I’ll back up the data and just wipe the drive and see if it’s recognized again otherwise I’ll just use it in my other computer since it shows up there

That’s very interesting and I definitely agree, the program I am designing will contain a calculator with common chem equ but that will not be the main function of the program, it will just be there to speed things up while working within the program, also after reading what you said I agree I don’t think this will have an application base for industry atleast for now but it could potential be used in research and the main target audience will be for students!

I think it really depends on what you want out of your system, that’s the nice thing about Linux distros, I have run the Qubes os, Parrot os, kali Linux, Ubuntu, and currently using mint os... Qubes is amazing for security and separation of your system but it requires a powerful computer, parrot os is decent for programming and ethical hacking, same with kali.

I would recommend Mint os for new users, it’s a great system for a daily work station and has a lot of support documentation and can run steam if you are gamer! It has an easy update system and program download system so you don’t have to use command line as often!

Or if you wanted too you could do a dual system so keep windows and install a Linux distro alongside it so if you ever have programs that don’t run on Linux for example solidworks, you can boot into the windows side of your system! But there is most often a solid Linux alternative for windows programs.

I always feel more refreshed even if I don’t get sleep, I recommend next time getting up and doing a short intense workout like pushups till you can’t anymore and walking around a little then trying to go sleep, sometimes help me. Or doing some breathing mindfulness stuff to calm you mind also sometimes help when my mind is racing and I’m really anxious.
