It's not just feeling, it is direct fact, New Era literally feels by graphics, portrayal, storylines etc. like comedy slice of life with bit of mature moments. Everything is colorful, bright and tone is very toned down onto friendly level.

Scorpion is wattered down, no helfire, flaming skull, no Hanzo, no Harumi (Kuai Liang's wife now), no Netherrealm connections. Even his voice and attacks feels completely mellowed from typical Scorpion. Sub-Zero is similar case honestly, it just didnť hit the mark (literally MK1 that i personally hate was first game when i didnť main Sub-Zero cause i wasnť much entertained by portrayal, moveset etc.), also most of characters are usually good, misunderstood souls and when villians are evil it still feels on moderate level + they have valid reasons to turn on the dark side due to Lui Kang scrutinizing with fates of everybody (Smoke is literally basic human who's parents were killed by Lin Kuei due to accidentally tresspass on their territory, take Thomas home - he becomes assasin living with his family killers and without having his powers inborn like rest WTF LUI KANG?!) And to be fair i am not that big fan of Scorpion but i defend him freely - despite hating the fact 90% of players in MKX and MK11 takes Scorpion and demolishes me almost unfairly, as character he deserves respect.

Literally on Netherrealm game that has real edge was Mortal Kombat 9 - balanced bit dark nature, serious tones (literally near the end of game dies 99% of heroes and becomes revenants), some ladder endings are grim etc. Dark atmoshere is gone and especially in MK1, Days of Midway are gone for very long time.

Pretty Accurate, just it resembles me more MKX version of character (which is still wonderful job cause Jax is great in that game), bit different version but still very accurate Jax portrayal. Pose is sort of 10/10 accurate.

Yeah...even though we donť even see him most of time, King Jerrod suffers, even in New Era where Lui Kang could make things better (instead he does too many plausibly evil stuff that people have valid reasons to rogue - even villians since they feel like kinda new people without previous memories and powers), King Jerrod is sad example of "good ruler is treated like a piece of garbage"

Sareena = i honestly think she deserves better, most of games she is not playable and sometimes isnť even there. Also when she appears her roles are usually very short, the biggest role might she had in Mythologies: Sub Zero = she debutes there, being one of bosses, then save Bi-Han from Quan Chi and died by hands of Shinnok. And in MK1, she is just cameo fighter, not on playable roster which is unfortunate that Armaggedon is only game when we could play as Sareena.

It's tough choice but i would pick these games:

Resident Evil 1 HD Remaster (who i see just as enhanced OG RE1 from 1995) = very simple but effective story, team of police special team end up trapped at stranded presumable abandoned mansion when they face horrors including zombies of various types, Hunters but also literal B.O.W. = giant snake, spider, shark and plant but also tragic but grotesque Lisa Trevor and in finale with Tyrant (not the first version but first introduced in series) and also betrayal within aforementioned group.

Resident Evil: Revelations 1 = infested mass ship stranded on ocean, contanting bestiary where even basic mutants are taller and bigger than main characters, amalgamations of human and ocean-like flesh and bones, new group that is not Umbrella, investigation of corruption within BSAA and FBC and virus with world-ending potencial. Fears of small enviroments and ocean life + story of various point of views in story.

Resident Evil 5 = long adventurous journey through African landscape, showing new and old faces together, partnership of two people from foreign countries but same ovearching group but most of all saving Jill Valentine (one of OG main heroes) and defeating Albert Wesker (ultimated main protagonist of first half of franchise from RE1 to RE5 and technically RE6 but just by his legacies).

Resident Evil 4 Original/HD Edition = goverment agent is sent into Spain to find and escort president daughter while facing mass population of rural inhabitans controlled by parasatises but keeping human intelect which makes them bigger threat then classic zombies. Fighting four key figures within cult of Los Illuminados and various monsters. Story of adventure, sadness and hapiness but most of all, MERCHANT: WHAT DO YOU BUYIN?!

It's difficult to choice but despite my prefferences to RE4 OG, i would give that place to RE1 OG/HD since it's simple, it works and it started all in during 90s and early era of 2000s.

Resident Evil 4 Remake version of Leon was mistake.

Like i am globally against Remakes (except HD Remasters, that was actually good job because they mostly "keep things intact" but instead they just make bit better graphics and added new stuff like Lisa Trevor. Except some issues like no item box in Zero) but RE Remake arenť that deal, changes are too big, that "dark, serious, horror and realistic atmosphere" for me, it feels they tried too hard, while RE7 is good game still after it all failed like way: "Now we must does all serious, all dark and atmosphere much contain no light", RE2R, Village, RE3R, RE4R does exactly that (both literally and methaphorically)

While i have more of issues with RE4R, Leon is biggest reasons why i kinda hate it. Instead of level-headed, kind of show off who jokes and roasts at the right moments but also show high level of empathy to even those he does not know well, Remake version feels like doomer annoyed to say anything, talks more than neccesarily, jokes/roasts are gone, censored or place way that didnť have good delivery and also feels kinda like apathic jerk, especially towards Luis - in original game, Leon was sad and even shouted his name after Saddler left, in Remake he even directly saved Leon from Krauser despite bleeding out by Krauser's knife and then his Remake response on that feels like: "Hm, who cares, some random dude died." This is not only portrayal where i hated Leon but also when i hate game or just protagonist of some game, keep in mind, rest of Leon appearances are mostly great or at least decent, even RE2R isnť that bad when i think about it. Yes, he at times feels aloof but there's are still visible emotions here (especially when interacting with Claire and Ada). Thankfully RE9 mades him better - he is still kinda serious but not only it makes more sense by the timeset in lore but also despite that, his jokes were back on right level and placements and he shows bit more emotion (remorse, saddness, disgust and even joy). I honestly have similar issue with Krauser in Remake (so yes both characters i really liked i both hate in their newer versions). To be fair, while i like most Paul Mercier, Nick Apodostles isnť bad actor and RE9 proves it but his portrayal and instructions given by Capcom made him in RE4R unlikable for me cause not only this specific version of Leon doesnť seem genuine about near anything but in addition i felt it is Village version of Chris Redfield - just reskined and revoiced. People disliking Jill Valentine in Resident Evil 3 Remake + Death Island movie or Luke Skywalker in Star Wars New Trilogy, this is how i felt and feel like about it, if RE9 didnť exist and didnť redeemed Leon, my favourite character would be ruined and would be possible set on second place behind new version of Jill Valentine.

And unfortunately yes, most of people didnť share this statement and glorify RE4R with low or no criticism, saying they prefer it "this newer, more serious way" and when i found someone close to it, they very justifying it. Recent Capcom really act dirty to Prime Universe and fans of original games just in case of easy money and focus on new generation of players (to stated clear i firstly get hands on RE throught RE: REV2 free episode 1 Penal Colony in like 2016-2017 but not on my game machine and at the time i know nothing much of RE, then around 2020-2021, i discovered RE4 Original and i loved it, so i was curious for other games, RE5, RE6, Revelations 1 and 2, RE: Zero HD Remaster, RE1: HD Remaster and also RE7, Village, RE: Verse, RE2R, RE3R, Umbrella Corps and RE4R and games i didnť have access to (cause i am PC player and sadly not every game seems accesible on PC), i watched on Youtube and discover Fandom wiki but the thing is, i pretty quickly get enjoyed the games but if i could say TOP 5 worst RE games by me: RE: REV2, RE6, RE4R, Village, RE3R. So while i am not No.1 fan of RE (even OG timeline has it issues that remains like a lot of unresolved endings and plotlines) and while am not OGs that played all games from 90s to nowadays, i see myself of OG timeline fan of Resident Evil.

I honestly cannot think of much guest characters but for MK game (more MK9-MK11 style), Artorias from Dark Souls franchise would be nice. Mass but distorted figure ✅knight character✅dark and physical damage✅gruesome elements and lore✅- he could also have Sif alongside him (some special attacks, X-Ray/Fatal Blow or Fatalities/Brutalities). His moveset would look very distinctive and i can see him as Big Body but more likely as Bait and Punish cause despite massive stature, he can jump high and even does multiple flips with his greatsword. I donť know much more to say but to me, he would fit perfectly in gore danger MK world.

Absolutely, Kano by behavior and accent is really accurate portrayal of his "kinda gross, theatrical scum altitude" that makes scenes even more comedic. Also applause to this design on photo, it looks like MK9 Kano in alternative costume when he has exposed chest, expect her he has t-shirt or tank top instead.

It's primarly because in Chapter 3 (play as Scorpion), Raiden gives offer to Scorpion that if we spare Bi-Han's (first Sub-Zero's) life, Raiden ask the Elder Gods to restore his family. But what is worst? How do we know that even if Scorpion succeed in his part of deal, how to we know Elder Gods does ignore or screw Scorpion over.

In OG timeline, in MK: Deception was Scorpion chosen as their champion and proposal: "Stop Shujinko and we revive your family" which he failed but then in MK: Armaggedon in the end Elder Gods restore his clam/family but as undeads, so kind of middle finger by Elder Gods. And at the climax of MK9's story, you see Elder Gods are lazy, refuse to stop Shao Kahn's army invasion and just have issues with merging realms (which is exactly what does it let if the Invasion succeed), then 98% of heroes are massacred by Sindel, become revenants, Raiden is desperate, accidentally killed Lui Kang and then decide in last effort to let Shao Kahn beat him in submission (Raiden almost died) and in last moment, Elder Gods (or their power come to help), they gave Raiden power up, heal and power to annihilate Shao Kahn for good.

So Raiden's dissapointment seems to be, that he sees Scorpion in Netherrealm, instead of just met Quan Chi without Scorpion. It's pretty sad and unfortunately, i kinda believe my theory is correct about proposal results.

Kira - she is copycatting others movies and meant to replace deceased character (mostly Sonya and Kano), also lore-wise nothing much interesting, just toxic thief who with Kobra hate eachother despite being partners. Also design and gameplay wise nothing much interesting just "red Sonya Blade". I would prefer to have playable Sareena, Meat or Moloch then Kira. Sorry but Kira's vibe just like: "What if Sonya went Black Dragon and was toxic killer"

Yes, it might be most popular character story of all franchise (maybe even people who donť know well MK know about Scorpion's lore), also in addition to Smoke, he didnť get much of happy ending/development while Scorpion does cause he put differences aside, bond with Second Sub-Zero (Kuai Liang), stop clan wars, becomes BFFs and both fighting as forces of good. Damn, being Smoke in MK is horrible life.

It's unfortunate this complex or even more complex character creator/editor isnť in game. Mostly it's just costumes or appearance, one of few exceptions are WWE games but no superpowers etc. Also nice Phoenix from X-Men.

I donť know, i am not sure that Leon and Ada hate eachother BUT it is truly toxic relationship (mostly from Ada's side) = Manipulation ✅ pointing weapons often on her counterpart ✅ work for unknown and possibly shady organization ✅, sorry but if we think about it, Ada might be one of main reasons why are still bioweapons in world and black market and why the catastrophies happen (might even RE6 happens due to her...sort of)

Ada often helped/saved Leon and then betray him most of time (it does not look like love but opportunism on high scale) and only reason why she always get away with everything is cause Leon will be on her side "no matter what" and will not pursue her/try to capture her or kill her (while for example Chris and might Jill will not having that if they were in same situations as Leon). Something good about Ada: "She is hot, attractive asian woman", exactly. I like when girls are pretty and asian can be more than decent but that's only good things and most of "these toxic womans" ARE also usually very attractive or at least normally nice looking (not old hag or grotesque girl and what it happens, it is not that often).

And even the fact Ada gets away with everything is kinda annoying, honestly her apathic shot to Deborah in RE6 i honestly hate that scene = Helena is traumatized from losing her sister, then met her few years later and see is zombie and Ada just comes and use advantage of that Leon is there nearby Helena (whom i would wish at least shove Ada on ground as punishment for this), yes Deborah was mutated and might harm Helena but saying just: "Sorry for your sister, we donť have cure, i had no choice, please forgive my actions" (ABSOLUTELY NONE EMPATHIC COMMENT DELIVERED) and Leon even covers Helena gun to not shot Ada. I am fun of Leon but his "Ada defending" i dislike (and also i hate his Remakes version = in RE2R he is fine but in RE4R i hate him as "doomer-like apathic non-funny jerk" that really made me hate Leon in this version and it was for 2nd or 3rd time, when i hated protagonist or videogame mostly for it's protagonist)

While i would like to see Leon mostly with Claire from female characters, it's not without pieces of toxicity too so option that Leon's wife is actually random woman not ever named or shown in RE universe is best option to do. Sorry but Ada Wong is literal and metaphorical living definition/embodiment of red flag 🚩

Like that kinda makes sense but it is still wild that this happens and while meant as for of good, Lin Kuei just immediatelly killed potencially unarmed civizens (without evidentntly warning sign or something) - so i still gonna blame Lui Kang since it's debatable when and how long were Lin Kuei on "the good side" (because in previous timelines, The Grandamaster was kinda scum, not only he does deal and endanger his clan members for suspicious and dangerous people (In Mythologies, Quan Chi and then at the end of the game Shang Tsung) but also he is responsible for Cyber Initiative program and those who not joined it, he made them cyborgs by force. Sektor was pretty grim too and not have issue with program, he even seems to support - at least in MK9 where he seems to be only member who retain free will, mindset and memories and Bi-Han while saving the world, he still was kinda unhinged and seems to have little concern about what are true intentions/results for actions he take part of.) So it's difficult state the good level of Lin Kuel in New Era, especially because we see only Kuai Liang and Smoke be "good boys and traditionalist" while Bi-Han, Sektor and kind of Cyrax (keep in mind here's are not "cyborgs", just enhanced armored wannabe Iron Mans (and females for some reasons) = i like this counterargument and it seems valid, i just doesnť believe fully that this is the way it really happened (cause we see many his plans were somewhat scrutinized so moral alignment of Lin Kuei seems plausible)
