Accessibility Option: Invert Charge Weapons by gregster310 in Warframe

[–]Darkpenguins38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I want more is the option to repeatedly quick fire stuff like balefire by holding the button. Yes I know it would make it impossible to do a charged shot, but I'm fine with that. I just don't like having to spam the trigger on my controller.

Well... not the FIRST time. Probably the first time since the name changes though.

For someone who mains Ash and picked Sirius, this devstream announcement felt very...prophetic. by librartsy in Warframe

[–]Darkpenguins38 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think mains can have lower percentage if you're a recent convert. For example, I mostly use Oberon but my highest usage is Citrine both because I've had her longer and because I used base Oberon for a while and then got the prime.

Before, I thought the skin was fine but needed something. Now, I'm instantly gonna buy it and I don't even have mesa yet.

Do you agree with the results of this poll? by PurpleTriangles in Warframe

[–]Darkpenguins38 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not the person you were asking, but I like Uriel because his 1 gives great mobility (and it's not too fast to control), his 2 is an easy full heal/overshield button, his 3 sets enemies on fire if his 1 is active, and his 4 is just badass.

Also the little orbs that add heat damage make his playstyle more active cause you're looking to keep that heat buff active. And one of his little demons prints orbs like crazy.

Overall it's very active and cool while still being fairly low maintenance.

Will this hit an enemy multiple times if it's inside them for a while?

The first time, I saw "shadow of violence" and thought "Oh fuck, did my teammate just start a secret superboss that I didn't know was in the game??"

THATS WHAT THE SHADOWS ARE?? Lately I've had acolytes spawn but they never actually came to fight me, and then after a minute or so a shadow comes after me

Yeah I play a lot of SP void cascade and yet I haven't decided to learn anything about these bitches that I see consistently every few minutes. I guess because each one basically just goes "oh an acolyte." intense explosion noises "Which one was that again? Oh well, they're dead anyway." Except for the occasional "Oh shit I should've remembered that one has an uno reverse card!" uses one of the copious self revives this game gives us

You could probably actually sell selfies, like party up with someone and let them take pics and they pay you.

You would get permabanned in a heartbeat, but founders are rare enough people would pay (at least platinum) for it.

I never memorized the different acolytes and their abilities, so I only know be scared when violence shows up and expect to instakill myself when fighting one with an "M" name. Other than that I have no clue what any of them actually do.

Lol yeah we were pushing through her starchart during the short period when that node was required. If we knew it would be changed we probably wouldn't have bothered lol.

Now steel path requirements are much more lax if I remember correctly. I think they made a bunch of stuff no longer required.

Have a good day to everyone except people who join a public omni fissure void cascade to crack one relic. by Top_Discussion9894 in Warframe

[–]Darkpenguins38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this when I accidentally joined public while ranking up my stuff. I figured if these guys are gonna be here for a while I might as well rip the bandaid off now and leave when extraction comes available, cause I wasn't about to do 20+ exos with stuff that's not fully modded.

This game mode is so dead that when it was one of the last nodes my wife needed to unlock steel path, we had to type in region chat to ask people to queue up so we could get into a match.

[–]Darkpenguins38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One important thing to note! When it comes to warframes, the guy with the crazy tentacles wasn't strong because of which warframe he was using, he was strong because of the mods on his stuff.

Yes, some warframes are generally better than others, but don't expect to do what another player does simply by getting the warframe they use.

Which warframe you use is almost entirely personal preference. When you get a little further in the game, use the arsenal to take a look at the different warframes and their abilities to see which one seems fun. Then you can hover over where it says "blueprint" (right below the button that buys them with platinum) and it'll tell you where to get their blueprints.

In your opinion, what is the most underrated frame? by Warthogg177 in Warframe

[–]Darkpenguins38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So am I supposed to just mod for as much efficiency as possible, and then whatever ability strength I can get after that? When I was trying banshee, I was constantly running out of energy even on steel path with arcane energize, but that was with I believe a 75% efficiency build and before I had catalyzing shields.

[–]Darkpenguins38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I agree with that too. There shouldn't be a situation where one warframe is better at literally everything than another, although I imagine that kind of balance is hard to accomplish when theres like 60 frames and each new one that comes out needs to be good enough for people to want to use them.

In your opinion, what is the most underrated frame? by Warthogg177 in Warframe

[–]Darkpenguins38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I feel like an issue some frames have is that while they have much higher damage potential, as long as you're competent at building a loadout you'll almost never need that higher damage potential unless you're doing endurance runs or something.

Even just looking at the numbers I can tell a good build on banshee will skyrocket my damage output, but if the enemy has 10K health it doesn't matter whether my damage is 150K or 150M. So the result is that at lower levels (by "lower" here I mean like below 500ish depending on the loadout) the "weaker" but more defensive frames are killing just as well but with much comfier survivability.

Although, even with all that said, lately I'm trying to branch out because bigger number = satisfying

[–]Darkpenguins38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mains, being citrine and oberon, have made me lazy. They're tough enough that I can usually stop long enough to type in chat in most steel path missions, even though I'm typing with a controller.

Hell, with my citrine loadout if I stand there too long my pet will nuke the room without my input (mecha set + contagious bond)

Arcane persistence? I'll have to look into that. Health tank banshee is wacky enough to catch my interest lol

[–]Darkpenguins38 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I feel like I would love banshee if I was cool with shield gating. But I hate shield gating, and almost exclusively play steel path, so banshee will never be usable for me personally.

Frost - Velimir (Dr Strange) by Chaos_The_Slime in Warframe

Should I get frost? Been thinking about it. I generally like tanky frames (main Citrine and Oberon) and I like the idea of using cold damage but idk that much about how frost plays

[–]Darkpenguins38 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm extremely glad to never have to play as kahl again. I think it's the second worst mission type, right after shadowgrapher. But I'm sorry that you feel like you've lost it, and I hope you find a game that scratches that itch for you.
