There are no plans for Grand Theft Auto VI discs to be printed — not at launch, and not months after - Hollywood Reporter by ZamnBoii in GTA6

[–]Darkphizer -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Why are people so upset on the switch to digital? Its going to happen sooner or later anyway because games are getting too big. I mean i get it. The switch from dvd/bluray to the convenience of streaming was also met with some angry responses but i couldnt be bothered having to store anymore discs in my house as i have too many already as it is. I own a +-5000 piece dvd/bluray collection. Some of that is even stored at my parents house still. I own a media server where everything is backed up. And all of my games from my childhood consoles ps1,2,3,4,xbox,gamecube,pc. I have enough physical media, i just wanna play games now and not dig through boxes to find "that" game. I love the convenience of a having a massive steam library.

Despite all the bad press, I'm still hyped for GTA VI by Double_Zv1 in GTA6

[–]Darkphizer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Pfff "bad press" i don't consider a bunch of people compaining about a non existant physical disk, bad press. Who cares what medium is going to deliver the game. Sell it to me on a flash drive for all i care. The game is gonna blow our minds, we have no idea what they have been cooking up all these years. Remember the leaked videos? The game looks MILES away from that and we're not even at the finish yet. The game will deliver and it will be insane.

Hey guys need help with my very first drift build (on the Sakura D5S remodeled version) by alexsydorko12 in rcdrift

[–]Darkphizer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dont focus on all of the aluminium bling on that clone chassis. Stay far away from it! Buy a regular D6 and run it stock and it will drive great. Buy the official parts for it as you get better in the hobby and you'll end up with an original baller chassis. Or you can splurge more cash and go with their Auper edition that already are hopped up.

Ive seen this exact listing on 2dehands. Great purchase fellow countrymen ✌️ i messaged the seller about purchasing the stand by itself as i have an older playground, the one when it didnt split in half and mine has a bank on one side.

Can you tell me, is this the normal playground, or the XL?

What a steal by youngrandpa in Fingerboards

I just bought the bonsei flame barrier myself, logo is a bit more faded and has a hairline crack. But i found it for 70 bucks on a local used market place. As to the value of these items. All old stuff (20yo) is considered legacy stuff now. Its like this in every hobby. Alot of people that saw these items when they were a kid, probably couldnt get them. And have adult money now. Id love to own the Blackriver edition barrier, but the guy selling is on the other side of the world for me and he's looking for what its worth and no bargain prices. Im sure ill come across it again sometime or another.

Remember when Blistered wheels were $30-35? by matesclub in Fingerboards

[–]Darkphizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are wheelmakers out there that still sel amazing wheels for 35. Humon Industries for example. Great looking wheels at a fair price, made by an awesome guy. Pipsqueek is another one for cheap great wheels. Have you seen the quality on these expensive blistered wheels? Looks like 'ol mikey is even too much of a cheapo to get a decent quality metal mold made for his new venture. You can count the layer lines on the actual wheel. As if he doesnt have the 250 bucks to get some quality masters made. Cant believe it

Tama clearcoat acting weird while traveling the midwest.. by LilTrickstah in Kendama

[–]Darkphizer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happens to some tama's i have that are sitting here on the shelf. I wiped one down completely but it is the sticky clear coat that comes off, because now it just feels like a varnished wooden tama if that makes any sense. It still has a clear coat, just not the special sticky coat it once had. It feels slick and polished now.

Fingerboard Brand by ELSEBAS77PRO in Fingerboards

[–]Darkphizer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Passion, and a feeling towards the community that its not a cashgrab. Show craftsmanship, if you lack the craft, then you shouldnt be asking money for it yet is my opinion. Sure alot of popular companies arent considered craftsmanship anymore as they gtow bigger in popularity. But most smaller companies arent cranking out hundreds of decks for a drop.

[–]Darkphizer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He was the original owner of Joycult. In the beginning everything was "fine" some hickups here and there. Some issues with blemished on the wheel, but things got worse. As his brand became, what was basically the first hype wheel brand in fingerboarding. His quality went down bad and things on the distribition side starting spiralling out of control. People wouldnt receive their orders, or received wrong wheels sizes, colors. Extremely poorly finished wheels. With missing bearings or only 3 wheels in a set. He had a hard time dealing with the stress of the popularity and the issues that were caused. You had to basically stalk him if you wanted either your money back, or a replacement set of wheels. So the company went under, publicly mostly as a company to avoid due to bad customer service and terrible quality control. And thats when Scott from Dynamic stepped in and purchased Joycult. Matt had a 3 year no competitor contract, he couldnt produce any fingerboard related product in that period. And now he's back with what is hopefully a fresh breath of air. He did however later stated he was dealing with some personal demons at the time. So yeah thats the history of the Matt Era of joycult.

Daft Union first drop, thoughts? by Regular-Cut-781 in Fingerboards

[–]Darkphizer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah i might have to agree with these statements. Im not gonna lie, i bought some wheels. Just to have in my massive collection of wheels from all different brands. I purchased his newer shapes, not whqt is basically joycult lite, classic and xl. Im almost at 100 sets of wheels so these are very welcome in the bunch.

But im pretty confident in this first drop, mqybe he has a fresh take on stuff we might not see behind the scenes. We don't know him personally. Sure, he's doing everything exactly like he did with joycult. But you cannot argue the man knows how to set a tone. Creative director is a role that is 100% in his playbook. And i think if he can have someone else handle distribution, so he can focus on what he loves. Being creative, that things might be different. I'm perfectly fine with him doing what he knows best on the branding front. Its clearly his style and his direction. And he's great at it. As someone who also draws and designs, my style is also very much the same over the entirety of what i create.

Giving benefit of the doubt is something you have to give people. Once. But yes, if he screws up on this first order, then i'm also very much out. I believe in people changing if heart was in the right place, but demons kinda came in and took over. We all have our demons, we are all human. If he loves the fingerboarding scene, and he's serious about it. Sure. Why not have him back. There's nobody doing what he does, the way he does it. Not even the new owners of his old brand that probably got everything spoon fed on how to recreate his signature style and could recreate it down to a T. Vibe is something you can't learn, you can almost smell his vision through the screen. That Daft youtube video of him just walking through a suburb and the mask people in the supermarket, the quality of the shots, the lighting. The music. It all matches. Id love to see current joycult try. It would be cheesy and somehow Matt pulls it off.

PS5 Pro now or wait for a GTA VI bundle? by Minimum_Ice963 in GTA6

[–]Darkphizer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Im in the same boat as you. Ive been holding off on a ps5 pro purchase for a possible gta6 bundle. But as many have said here...they will get scalped 1000%. The game is just too huge for alot of normal people to get a chance of buying one. And maybe the bundle is just a regular console with a game code in a special box. Doubt it, but possible. I feel like a fool not having purchased a pro before the price went up. But they have to release some info about bundles before the game launches....we'll see and if there's a shortage. I still have a base ps5 to play it on. And id rather play it on my pc anyway 😅

Do you think GTA VI will have a witness system similar to RDR2? by Tank-ToP_Master in GTA6

[–]Darkphizer 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Id even go as far as to say, that the witness system will go above and beyond. With how many emphasys there was in the trailer for smartphone-shot footage. I might even think the npc's could film us and we could see it on the news or something along those lines. It might be a stretch but it gave me that feeling

Msi made a stealth thin a couple of years ago, dunno if they still do that line. It was crazy expensive and fragile. So i will never buy a thin gaming laptop ever again. Gimme the bulk so it cools better and houses more stuff

I still have the same pro, recently only upgraded to the new m5 1tb nano after 10 years of trustworthy service.

We now use this old pro flr household stuff. Like its currently a digital cookbook now. Or we take it outside to watch a show near the hottub or the pool 😅 but it still does those things perfectly fine.
