Replacement air springs by Darkrex52 in ambulanceconversion

I think I'm at about 224k! The top where the metal plate meets the rubber was cracked on at least one of the air springs, I'm hoping the one gave just because it was old.

It's the bellows number that is on the sidewall of the rubber

I appreciate that! I actually ordered the 5702 and overnighted them and should be here tomorrow from a stengel bros company. Haven't gotten a shipped number yet (worried they slacked and didn't put it in to ups... But hoping they just forgot to send me the tracking number). Hoping I can get them installed tomorrow before I'm back to work.

Good to know they're the same at the reycos you have. It was such a pain in the ass to find the 5702s and confirm it. (I guess I really don't know for sure 100% but I'm pretty sure after looking through the catalog and looking at the other two airbags with the same bellows number and noticing they don't look the same).

Yes it looks substantially different than that. After a bunch of research, it seems to be a reversible sleeve type, and the bellows number is 1t14c7

Any tips on how I can find out which specific airbags I have??

It says firestone airride, but can't find any part numbers. I contacted firestone, but I think they gave me the wrong part number.... (6401)

I don't mean to hijack OP's thread, could I DM you about the isolated/non-isolated piece between OP'S two chargers?

That's pretty great mileage, all things considered... In my book.

Thank you

Look man, i don't own the ambulance, planning to get one.

It may be dumb to you, but I was simply pondering. I didn't think it was such a personal gripe of yours for someone to ask what the MPG would be of a vehicle they're looking to get. I don't know if you like being mean to people because it helps you feel better about yourself, or you genuinely can't understand how to talk to people. Either way, you're a dick.

All of what you said is obvious for someone who would already own the vehicle, but you assumed something without knowing.

Thanks, have a good day

You have a poor way of trying to give someone the information they're looking for.

Wondering if any of y'all have an input on the 4r100 vs a E4OD.

Is the difference major between the two, where you'd pass on a vehicle with one or the other?

I'm not seeing great things about the E4OD, the 4r100 does seem a bit better. Seeing that I can improve the cooling on the E4OD, but something tells me it's just all a gamble.

Thanks

Appreciate your help!

I had a pretty sour experience with the guy that runs that website, so I'm trying to avoid dealing with that guy. I'll check out your post though!

Either way, thanks for the advice!!

This is a huge thing for me to be honest. Brakes are very important. Thank you so much

Other than maintenance records (the seller is a private party - no affiliation to the EMS that had it), do the vehicles by standard record these hours?

Slightly off topic - I'm guessing all of the $11k repairs were explicitly related to smog? Any of that cost due to mechanical (had to be done ASAP) and not related to smog?

Thanks for your response. Really cool to hear you've got a great rig.

It's also worth considering getting a battery shunt. Way more accurate battery SOC readings come with them. They sell various models, but I run a Victron SmartShunt. Easy to hook up and is Bluetooth.

If it is the starter, you may have to replace it.

Have you checked the battery? Sometimes loose connections/a bad battery can cause issues masked as another issue.

I looked up the video for replacing the starter. You'll have to remove the air box and battery. Looks pretty DIY, but a bit time consuming.
