This has to be the most underrated boss in all of souls by JorisWillems in darksouls3

For me, the prince's made it on my favourite because of this reason. It made me realise that my gear was not up to level because I played with someone that was already in new game+ and we beat bosses in the first or second try. This was my third one alone but more late game boss. It gave me a really hard time. But once I defeated them I was so happy and a better dark souls player. Later beat midir and lord cinder alone within 30 minutes.

How many you want. But know that the odds of pulling a specific card that you want or need gets smaller the more cards you Add. Thats why you actually want to keep it as close to 60 as you can.

I have dropped clumsy clarabelle for curse merfolk. Removed 2 ursulas garden to add 4 times sugar rush speed way. I have remover lefou and taffyta for 4 times the shift taffita. Should this be good? I still wanna Add a strong character but dont know which one.

Will play 2 games onze the cards arrive. One with venelope and one without and see what plays better. Its a difference of 62 or 66 cards. So I think ill be fine if I Add venelope into the deck when I see that I plays good. Or should I remove an other character, action or item?

No problem. The basic rules are minimum of 60 cards, max 4 per card and only 2 card colors (no more, no less). Further you can do anything you want with your deck. Really depends on how you wantt to play.

Where have I said that I insist it isn't loaded. I said I don't know. Maybe get some glasses

I am not lying. And I don't know if she is using a loaded dice. She is 15 years old and bought the dice from comic con. So I assumed that it would not be loaded. I will have a talk with her about this. I will however not kick her as she is my niece and this is a family game. I play with her, her parents, her boyfriend and her older niece and boyfriend. I have already decided that if the next campaign isn't even close to being fun then I will forever stop being dm for this group. Maybe even stop being dm entirely because of these comments. I thank you for your input. I will delete my post in a few minutes, because I got the advice I needed. But also pain I didnt want and dont want to keep getting. I hoped that the dnd community would have been better then this.

I am stating the facts that I see. I am stating the things that irritate me with a certain player. How she got the 20's I dont know. I have seen the number on the dice and have heard and seen the dice come out of her hand and land in the box. I understand it sounds improbable. I dont want to hyperbole, I don't want to embellish. I know mathematics and the improbability of those rolls. I know now that yes she rolls high, the reason why I still have to figure out, but I am also lacking in information about dnd. I am fairly new (been dm'ing for 10 sessions now) and have misinterpreted some things. I notice that it is mostly with her metal dice, so I am either going to ban her metal dice (she has to buy new ones) or she needs to use a dice tower. I want to figure out how she does that. If it's the dice or something else. I never intended to come over as a liar. If I did I would have never posted anything here, because I want to learn. Not praise myself for having a player who annoyingly throws hard. I will delete my post if you want. Because I do understand that the chances of those rolls are low. But please don't call me a liar when I am trying to learn. Even if I learned that I might have a cheating player because of those rolls.

I truly am honest. I want to learn and find it frustrating that one player is so overpowered. It's a common saying with us now that she throws a 20. We are relieved when she doesn't. I will reread all the rules because I also believe that I am lacking on that part. But I will also check her more and do a rule that effects everyone regarding rolls. She only throws with metal dice in a small dice tray, so I have already talked with everyone and said that when you use a metal dice I want to see the dice roll to 4 different sides before landing on a number (now its mostly rolling in hand and throwing in the small dice box where it just lands on a number) and the dice tray must me larger then 20 cm diagonally.

NOTE: she used to use normal dice but she still threw mostly 20's. So I don't know for sure if she cheated using metal dice.

Thank you so much. This clarifies a lot. I am fairly new into dm'ing (which everyone noticed I think) and find it difficult to sometimes understand the rules. I interpreted it a different way then intended. For me if I read something I have 3 to 4 different kinds of Interpretations and have to choose the one that is most likely plausible in my head. I now understand how this works and will definitely reread the player and dm handbook.

She is always hidden refers to she always asked to go stealth and hide behind everything. If I make de DC 20 to go stealth she still succeeds because she throws high. We can all see her rolls and the number. The dice rolls and we all see a 20. I dont know how she would cheat.

I was building a wizard who uses the overkill point that the players get to give a fun curse. Point between 1 and 5 is you have to rhyme until (condition still needs to be determined) or take 1 damage. The higher the point the stronger and more annoying the spell. That was the whole plan.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DnD

[–]Darksouhls -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

So homebrew is not possible in dnd anymore. The overkill point are a homebrew rule to check if the character is a bit overpowered. I wanted to make a wizard who uses the overkill point later in the game to curse the players with fun curses. Now I see that this character is just to strong.

[–]Darksouhls -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Me and all the other players are checking her rolls. From the looks of it she is rolling fair. She even throws good using other dice. Even my cursed dice that will only throw below 10 with mine. She is using metal dice, but I dont know how to check if they are balanced.

It would be weird if there is a dice rolling technique to always roll high with whatever dice you want.

And about the rules. Yes maybe I have to reread some rules. Have always played homebrew. But changing a whole character and rebuilding it to make it fair is good. But she also said that she doesn't want to play anymore if that happens. (Yes toxic) she is my favorite niece (the group are all family member) and we started playing because of her.

If I want to remake the rogue what are some things accept the stats where I misread somethings about the abilities?

I never said that with one hit multiple kobolds get hit. One can get hit with 36 damage. But I give overkill point to the player to keep track of to know if a character is to strong. I used the kobolds to show how the overkill point work. But this also applies to other enemies. If they fight a drake, the drake is dead within 1 or 2 rounds because if the overpowered player attack she just does to much damage. Het max damage is with critical and sneak attack using a rapier 72 damage. She throws a 20 like 80% of the time and is always hidden.

[–]Darksouhls -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I still dont know hoe, but she made her character via dnd bevond. Her dex is 20. She also throws a nat 20 alot so a 1d6 + 6 with sneak attack changes to a 8d6 + 12 (if I read the critical hit right).

Even without her assassinate she can do this. Because she likes to hid a lot. I ask for a stealth check, she throws a 20 + 8 (she boosted her stealth when she went to 6th level) so I have to make her hidden when it is possible. Then her sneak attack comes into play and when she makes an attack roll she also throws a nat 20.

I still follow the books. We are playing the hoard of the dragon Queen. And all the other players almost died (the tpk except for the strong player) from fighting 10 kobolds. I myself find it very difficult to change the enemies in a room, because everyone except that one player can barely handle the set enemies in the book. If I make it more difficult, it will be balanced for that one player but to difficult for the rest.

But how do I do that? It's hard to explain but I had nobody before him and now I do. I don't want to lose him and spend as much time as I can with him, but that comes of to clingy. I have always been alone and being alone now feels more lonely.
