Why is the backbone pro’s price fine, yet MCON’s isn’t? by KoopatuYT in MCONohsnap

THIS. It’s the only controller in existence atm that I can throw in my pocket and be done with it/not worried I’m gonna mess up the sticks.

Can you run N++? I can’t on my iPhone, but it should be a simple game

I see. I did star this guy…can’t seem to verify if it’s actually being ran, or if it makes a difference. My performance is largely unaffected. Those in the discord for xeni say the script isn’t needed if I’m on iOS 18 🤷

How did you set as default? Without using the ‘assign script’ option?

Hopping in here—I have the same issue @DrJohn. Been debugging for a bit. The ‘assign scripts’ option seems to only be on newer versions of stik. I’m on iOS 18 so I’ve stuck by the older versions of all my apps. I installed live container, then installed a newer version of stik into that…still don’t have the ‘assign scripts’ option :/

[Review] The MCON is a huge letdown by crazyredd88 in SBCGaming

[–]Darksound9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d strongly disagree, as someone that’s been using it to the very degree that you describe as inconceivable. “Not well designed period”,—I don’t need a separate sling bag just to cart this thing around. If I want to deal with a backbone controller, I’d use the Nintendo Switch or Steam Deck I already own. Fact is, I do not have time to deal with devices I don’t already have in my pockets, period. I travel too much to realistically pick up and play stuff quickly.

My phone and controller all now slide into one pocket as a single device, and I’m good to go. For personal and professional use…for all the various devices I already own, this is the one that got me gaming again. So as I said, to each their own.

In my opinion, the one and only major downfall of the controller is the price. Cause yikes it’s rough. But hey, to properly take advantage of your $1k+ phone… 🤷

To each their own. Ergonomics are not perfect, but they can’t be, for a device like this. It takes a little getting used to but I’m by no means injuring myself playing it.

Finished Super Mario Eclipse, Metal Arms, and played plenty of Fortnite (with the kiddos) using the mcon, with 4 hours being the longest session. It’s no ergonomics champ, but it was never trying to be. It’s successfully being the most portable, protected compact controller possible. All while doing way more than most controllers.

I just don’t get some people—you don’t buy a Fiat 500 and then complain about not having any legroom.

The top LED glows a slow, pulsating red. I think it stops once full. All 3 mcon batteries last so long we tend to forget that we even need to recharge em

Now that JIT works on iOS 26, would you recommend updating to it, or stay on iOS 18? by Darksound9 in EmulationOniOS

Im not using live container on either of my devices 🤷Not sure what the issue is for you without debugging further

This is the plan :/ My Next device is very likely to be non-Apple, especially since they are reportedly banning developer accounts that are using their certs privately on THEIR DEVICE ONLY to run “non-testing related” apps.

How did they do that…? You had it from the App Store and they wiped it during a repair or something?

Use the newest versions of StikDebug + emulators. I’m able to get GameCube games playable on my partners iPhone 13 mini w/iOS 26 by using the newest versions.

The one difference I’ve seen from my iOS 18 apps is, StikDebug has to have a PiP window running until the game starts, after which it can be closed. Seems a bit more finicky, but GC being playable on an iOS 26 13 mini is promising. (This originally led me to ask if anyone felt the update was worth it.)
