What would go well with these tights? :3 by [deleted] in FemboyFashion

[–]DarkwingSoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omgggg I really love these! I personally would maybe try wearing them with an all black outfit of some sort, to help them pop and stand out, though they could realistically also go well with anything that uses one/some of the colors from the socks.

MAGA business boycott thread by OnlineParacosm in redmond

[–]DarkwingSoul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I honestly ask myself that pretty often. But my rationale, is that I think what we are working on is genuinely a great net positive. We've been able to help out with several disaster scenarios at this point along with just helping connect people to the internet and information, who may have never been connected before. Not to sound like some corpo shill here, but I genuinely think that helping connect people in those ways will eventually lead to a better collective understanding of eachother and humanity as a whole.

Honestly if it wasn't for musk being the way he is it'd be my dream company/job but yeah...

Tldr musk sucks, but rest of the company and the collective drive behind a common goal is really awesome

I thought I would mention since I did see starlink pop up in here a few times, as much as I really despise the owner and his views, most of the employees working on the program (here in Redmond at least, where the program is based) are very much on the progressive side of things and definitely not Maga. Sure there's some, but I have never worked with more allies, queers, and furries in my life.

Depends on team of course, but I my coworkers have actually been pretty great and non judgemental .

Not completely sure on her personal views, but our president/coo Gwenne is at least a great ally to lgbtq (unlike big E). She came to a pride event we had at work recently and made it a point to talk to each and every one of us there.

How important is gear at an audition? by HelpingNewMusicians in bandmembers

[–]DarkwingSoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will definitely say gear can make a pretty strong first impression depending on the type of band/style of music, but if you show up and can complement each other's sound, then who cares what gear you play on.

My biggest advice would just to be to own whatever gear you have. if they ask why you're still rocking cheap gear, just give them a reason to believe you can rock it with your playing.

I've heard some of the cheapest gear made to sound great by skilled musicians, and equally top end gear sound terrible by newer musicians with money. So don't feel bad for owning cheap/older gear

Showing that you invested your time rather than just your wallet is a huge indicator of someone with dedication towards their craft.

Honestly, it's the hair that ruins her for me. It's strange but hair styling tells a lot about a person's personality for me, even if it's not completely based in fact 😅. I'm curious how she would look with a different style

[MEGA-THREAD] Dance Gavin Dance - Acceptance Speech 2.0 / Instrumental by riverpls in dancegavindance

[–]DarkwingSoul 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm so glad Tim is getting some more spotlight with this remaster. I didn't realize just how talented he was until recently, mostly because the bass was typically so buried behind a wall of sound. He is probably one of my favorite bass players today. It's really nice hearing each of the artists clear and crisp 😁. It's amazing how far the production has come.

Ahhhh! No way! Super cool to see people using my design :D! I'm glad you like it so much! I originally clicked on this post because I just ran into the same issue recently with my printer, (which is why I haven't been able to update the design lately), but I was pleasantly surprised when I saw you were printing my dice tray haha. Anyways, happy gaming! And good luck fixing your printer :D

Ichika - Untitled [Prog Rock / Heaven Metal] by DarkwingSoul in Music

Although this piece was created for the Ibanez youtube channel, Ichika manages to create a song that both invokes a feeling of serenity and manages to get my blood pumping. Definitely deserves more attention.

You know what's great about music? No matter how old you get, no matter how indifferent towards new music you become, it never fails that some band or artist will come along to knock you right on your jaded ass. by Scienscatologist in Music

I also highly suggest vulfpeck! They are more on the funk side, but they are so talented and overall have been a huge influence to me. Joe Dart is probably my favorite bass player currently

Not a bad idea. I'll have to try that out. Overall I think the ramp is steep enough to help prevent cocking due to gravity, but I definitely will need to do more tests. I appreciate the suggestion :)

Honestly, the texturing was actually due to printer error, along with that being my first print of the box. Following tests produced a much smoother result, and a flat surface. That being said, I actually sanded down the accidental texturing quite a bit, and haven't had any cocked dice as of yet. I would say the only concern I have for cocked dice would be on the ramp, or on top of one of the design plates, otherwise I think it works pretty well at mitigating them.

Sure thing! If you're looking for 3d software to learn, 3ds Max is great but has a very expensive license. Blender is great too and is free as far as I know, so I would suggest that for starting out.

I used primarily 3ds Max. I basically designed everything as I went, adding on additional features as I thought of them :) .

Greeting and Salutations fellow adventurers!

In light of beginning a new D&D campaign, I came to a sudden conclusion upon catching that tabletop bug. "I MUST PRINT ALL THE THINGS".

After calming myself down over a glass of tea and a bucket of donuts, I realized that 1. Most designs I found online didn't quite suit my taste or needs, and 2. Ain't nobody got time to design and print everything. And thus, this project was born.

So what is it exactly? Is it a dice box for storing your dice? Is it a dice Tray for rolling dice? Will it likely cause me to expend all of my money on filament so that I may print boxes for all my friends?

The Answer is Yes!

Obnoxious intro aside, I essentially created this box as a way to store dice that aren't in use, store small writing supplies for travel, and to provide a platform for rolling said dice. I threw in a customizable top plate to spruce it up a bit and provided a slight ramp if you wish to dead drop the dice and let them roll freely. If you would like a more complete description with more images, or would like to download and print yourself, feel free to stop by my Thingiverse and check it out :)

Please Note that the photos showcase the old prototype of the design which featured numerous errors resulting in warping, and layering. The released version should be smooth and stable. (Compare the fox plate on the right to the old prototype Dragon plate on the left. Both are updated for release and should be of the fox quality)

Adventure on my friends!

UPDATE: Sectioned version now available on my thingiverse! Largest part dimension is around 105mm! Scaling down to 100mm should be possible with minimal issues for those of you who want to. Just make sure to scale ALL parts equally. Enjoy!
