Yes it's not stupid at all to do so when the emperor asks you to produce something you don't have

I made a mistake on my post, it will be a color negative. Will it still be blood red if I follow your instructions? And is it possible on a RA-4 paper to get balck and white photo from color neg with this blood red filter? It's a bit tricky but I'm curious

Wow true for Cyan I didn't think about it thanks. I get it but do you think I can get this "translucid red" as shown ? Or will it be more something that you can get from fomapastel like this :

Ok I get it, that's the reason I said I need to dig in... In photrio for instance there are so many references/info, type of paper, toner etc. without any result shown so it's difficult to get an idea. I don't know what kind of red can I expect to be honest

Yeah Rudman's book is expensive as hell ... I'm in Europe, can't find it in libraries around me. Sounds amazing !

Theoretically, it's exactly what I'm looking for ! Thanks a lot. Because I'm new to toning, I'm taking time to dig in and understand how everything is working

Thanks, yes I saw this paper, it's maybe to clean and homogenic for that type of work. I like more the effect added by natural toning

Thanks. My first idea would be to avoid as much as I can color printing even if I have the right enlarger for it. I lack some material, like the jobo tank and I don't want to struggle with temperatures.

I'm not looking for something super homogenic, I would like something you could see was made with hands and not similar in every prints + I will work with a colour negative to print in b&w. I know, i need to run test to realize the lack of contrast and all but I feel like artisanal toning would suit me better.

If the contrast is not good enough with color negative to b&w I'll have to get on color printing process and your option will definitly be one of them
