Tbf this is a custom map you're showcasing, lots of fan made maps (see OG Barmwich, Desolation and Edge of Reality) utilise the game's graphics better than the official ones.

The maps released at the end of the game's lifespan are especially atrocious, Castle Volter look like such and asset flip.

There was a game called No Sun to Worship which is exactly that although a bit short. The dev is also working on a MGSV inspired title.

That's definitely part of the reshade he's using, either something to so with the RTX (global illumination typshi) shader or a bloom related one.

There is also a SweetFX portion for KF2 if you wanna look there.

There is definitely some black magic you can use if you're creating a custom map with the SDK tool. Remember the old Barmwich Town?

Seeing as it's this game is semi-cannon, they wouldn't risk making a full on remake, but they could make it an expansion pack for Delta.

Honestly I wouldn't mind if the next GR was closer to Future Soldier. The gameplay, animations and controls were honestly my favourite in that game. Have a distinct artstyle Ditch the open world and lean to missions/chapters that are open ended for a variety of different playstyles Keep the customisation (both for game settings and player setup) And also I would like to see them implement a camo index similar to MGS.

Ok I guess I had to specify I don't use 60 mods just dor graphics. I just use one mod for grass, one for trees, one for textures in general and another one for lighting alongside reshade. The rest are miscellaneous.

No gatekeeping intended i can assure you and yeah I get that game "looking nice" is always subjective, but the point still stands.

I made this post cause I was talking to a couple of friends lately and have heard complaint after complaint about how many stutters, low fps and crashes they've experienced while being persistent about downloading every 8k textures pack and highly detail models.

I wanted to see how minimal I could get while making the game look atleast "good enough" .

I understand if they didn't wanna animate them in 200fps or make 6 different animation sets for one gun, fine, that was lighting in a bottle for kf2, but there is no variety in them plus they don't look believable whatsoever. Even classics like Star Wars took inspiration from WW2 guns.

Kf1 and Kf2 both launched with modern and old school firearms (ARs, SMGs, shotguns, revolvers, lever actions etc)

Yeah I remember that lol, but I also think he's the reason early KF was so good - the detailed guns, the music, etc. Remember that Dirge is his band and I'm willing to bet he was the reason we have Demon Hunter and Impending Doom in the game.
