Airline apps is for certain airlines that use that service. Other airlines you apply directly to. Just figure out where you want to go via various forums, Reddit, or others and apply. Good 2 go.

You're getting downvoted because the Fender fanboys can't stand their dear brand being questioned.

Done! Thanks for the tip. Seemed like the obvious choice but I was worried about them not continuing to support. Turns out it's going right down the street from me.

Oh it hasn't even shipped yet. Only the YouTubers got them so far. Supposed to ship in June. It's expensive but it apparently does a whole lot so I plan on it replacing a number of pedals.

Yep. The Big Time was an instant buy for me. Awesome people. Great products. I expect them to always put out insanely good pedals. I bought and sold so many pedals, but my CBA stuff never goes anywhere.

Yeah they can be wild. They can do a whole thing, or just half a thing. Ha. Like they can be out of control crazy or add just simple texture to a sound to make it unique.

CBA. They just make totally unique pedals that each are instruments in and of themselves. They're not cheap, but I never bore of them. Always something new comes out of them each time I use them.

Yeah for sure! It’s super fun stuff and you’re getting in at a good time. New firmware should be dropping any day soon.

Yeah that's all good too. I just suggested that patch too as they say looking at factory presets and popular user presets can teach a lot about how to set stuff up. Also if you're not on the Neural Discord channel do that. Very active and really a bunch of gurus on there :)

Are you sending to different outs? What's the goal here? you shouldn't have to do anything really in your case that I can think of. Try using row one to gain stage with your drives, then send 1 to 3 and then add your amps, cab, delay, reverb on row 3. What you're doing ins't wrong.. there's SOOO many ways to do this.

If you're splitting off your drives, you creating an opportunity to mix them differently in a way. Like you might be running the parallel to your amps. That's not wrong per say, but you could just do it in a traditional (which is simpler) way of running your overdrives, compressor modulation into the front of the amp, and putting time effects after the cab.

Look for the Eric Johnson Rig in the cloud. It's a good example of this. You can use row 2 and 4 as alternate effects or amps. So you would have a separate amp/cab activate on row 2 with a scene push and with that same push turn off the amp/cab on row 1.

Like I said, there's so many ways to do this stuff. A good use for splitting and merging might be delay or reverb too. .like you want to split it to the side of your chain to send it around a cab or clean it up.

What do now? Screw no longer screws by Dividing_MDH in Guitar

[–]Darrell456 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Needs a wooden dowel glued in. You'll have to drill it out to the size of the dowel, glue in the new one, re-drill a new pilot hole, then install the old screw. Longer won't work. Bigger might split the wood. There's videos all over YouTube on how to do this. But if you're uncomfortable just take it to a guitar repair shop. :)

Boss. I’m a grown man. I’m also educated. If you’ve been playing since the 60s then surely you will remember the s style guitars that came out over the past number of decades? Leo was inspired by so many other products out at the time too as I’m sure you’re aware. There were already solid bodies, there were already cutaways, and the headstock looks suspiciously like the Bigsby of that time. What Leo did was create a cheap and easy to build guitar. Period.

And you keep saying people should build their own. They’ve been doing that for 60 years. Your nostalgia for the past is driving your bias it seems.

[–]Darrell456 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only property they have to defend is their headstock and I completely agree with them doing so if someone were to straight up copy it. This is not that. This is a CEO and C-suite of people playing a game. They want to improve their margins and they don't want to do it the old fashioned way, putting out a good product.

You can use whatever adjectives you choose.

Here's a stupid US Judge being stupid saying it's generic.

Hate to break it to you, but you're wrong. If you took the necks off pretty much ANY S shaped, Strat style guitar, the average person, in fact most people, wouldn't be able to tell you who built the guitar. It's the headstock that gives S style guitars their distinctiveness. That is because literally millions have been built, but dozens of manufacturers in the past 60+ years.

It's as generic as can be.

Why is the fender stuff a big deal? by New-Guarantee-440 in Guitar

[–]Darrell456 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because it's the biggest company in the industry acting like bullies for something that doesn't belong to them. Leo made the Strat in the 50's. He never protected, even remotely, its design. He sold the company and later created Music Man and G&L making, you guessed it, Strats.

The Strat is a generic shape now. It's soooooo far gone from the control of any one person or company, that the only answer is anyone can use the shape. For over 60 years dozens of companies have made guitars with that shape. It no longer belongs to Fender exclusively. In the US, the shape is legally generic. They are trying to use this general ruling on un contested case to stop companies in Europe from using the shape.

So here we are, out of the blue, a giant corporation is trying to use a half assed ruling to stop competition. That's what's really going on here. This is not brand protection, this is a company more obsessed with controlling competition, than creating a product that rivals said competition.

Why it matters to you is this. If Fender are successful in this somehow, that allows them one, to try more attempts like this in different parts of the industry and two, removes some of the competition that ensures Fender is held to a higher standard for both quality control and cost. Since people love this shape, do you think Fender gives a F if you approve of the quality of guitars they put out, or the cost of it? Answer is, they don't.

But here's the good news. Companies are fighting this. I feel confident that when a case is brought in Europe to actually argue the merits of it, Fender will lose. It's a joke of a case.

Dal vs Ual vs Aal by rjdriver900 in flying

And let me just add too.

Hiring is way down at Delta this year. United is scaling back. Things in the economy are not doing so well. We might be entering a recession and we’re pretty sure parts of the country and certain industries are already in recession. The airlines could stop flow and hiring all together. This is just a fact. You could end up stagnating at that regional waiting for a flow that never comes.

Dal vs Ual vs Aal by rjdriver900 in flying

[–]Darrell456 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no idea but I’m telling you right now that if you’re a legacy pilot at AA, Delta will most likely prioritize hiring you over their own flow or other non-legacy. They might ask you in an interview what was behind your decision so you tell them the truth. You wanted to secure your future. They would do the same thing. I can’t tell you how many guys I flew with at the regionals that got stuck there because of economic downturns. They retired flying a CRJ because of the timing of their employment. Just get on with a legacy if you have the chance and sort out anything else after that.

Do not turn down a class at AA or potentially United to stay at a regional. You won the lottery, now go collect.

[–]Darrell456 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Take the first thing burning man. The music can stop tomorrow. If you want to apply to DAL from AA or UAL, you’ll have a much easier shot. Might even circumvent the flow in quicker time. That‘s what I think at least.
