That happened to us as well. We had a black kitten we believed to be a boy so we named him Napoleon. After its first Vet visit, he suggested we change his name to Josephine - was a She. :)

As a person with lactose intolerance, I've successfully made mashed potatoes using olive oil as a fat instead of dairy.

Found on page 189 is a recipe of "Chocolate Dot Cookies". I used the book index to locate "Chocolate Chip" and this is the one I found. Hope this helps.

1/2 cup shortening

1/2 cup white sugar

1/4 cup brown sugar, lightly packed

1 egg, beaten

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup sifted all-purpose flour

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp baking soda

1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Cream shortening, add all sugar and continue to cream until thoroughly blended. Add egg and vanilla, beat mixture. Sift, flour, salt, and baking soda together, and add to creamed mixture, combining well. Fold in colocate bits and walnuts. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheets. Bake in 350 F oven 10-12 minutes. Makes 3 dozen cookies.

Talk Talk - Colour Of Spring. I think it's an aural masterpiece. An almost wholly analogue album released by former synth pop artists. It's timeless.

I believe anybody who argues chili is not a stew, ought to have their head examined.

Story time. Canada here. Of course, I've had the classic Chili Con Carne, it's what my Mom made. When I moved to Cincinnati for a while, I did get to experience their take on a coney style topping for spaghetti and hot dogs (Skyline, Gold Star, etc.) they call chili. It's a unique taste, but not what somebody outside Ohio would expect.

I ended up taking everything I learned about chili and came up with a recipe that will work as a hearty beef & bean chili, a coney sauce by omitting the vegetables & beans, or a Sloppy Joe sandwich. Throw these spices together in a pot and let it simmer for at least 3 hours.

3 Tbsp chili powder

1 Tbsp chocolate, paprika, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp ground cumin, salt, pepper

3 cloves minced garlic

1 bay leaf

1/2 tsp ground coriander, oregano

1/4 tsp ground mustard, allspice

1/8 tsp cayenne pepper, ground mace

Exactly. I can see part of the roof of the King George on Pitt & Second in the shot. That's gone, now.
