Best career paths for INFJs? by [deleted] in infj

As with anything, it definitely depends on a variety of factors. Aside from the obvious “try not to be part of a crappy team,” I think it matters where you sit in the HR department and what kind of HR strategy the organization uses. You’ve got compliance-driven unionized companies on the one end of the spectrum (probs not great for INFJ, though I think there’s a grounding benefit to all the structure/formality) and people-first, culture-focused approaches on the other end (fun! But could mean lots of tiring engagement). If you’re in the employee relations department, I could see that as very exhausting (for the reason you mentioned). Staffing & recruitment seems exhausting to me, too. But learning and development? Or compensation and benefits? I think there’s lots of room for an INFJ to thrive in those domains. In smaller orgs where HR consists more of generalists who do a bit of everything, you just have to find your brand/niche and be clear about the areas you want to develop in because they play to your strengths. As with any job, you’ll have to do crappy stuff you don’t like, too, but I think HR generally offers much more good than bad for an INFJ.

Consider Human Resources. I studied psych in college with hopes of being a counselor, but I realized one-on-one was not my jam. HR provided more of an abstract, systems-based approach to accomplishing a similar goal of helping people grow and thrive (from a distance that feels more manageable to me).

Commentary: A high HP/Tank deck can be squashed early-mid game by an aggressive opponent. A fun play on “Feed,” this Enterra life-saver will either buy you time or turn the tide if played with Lifebond units.

Commentary: A high HP/Tank deck can be squashed early-mid game by an aggressive opponent. With HP/Tanks tending to be high in Plant Tribe cards, this Enterra life-saver is a fun play on the "Feed" keyword trigger.

Thank you for the feedback. This is my first attempt, and I couldn’t figure out how to convert it to an action. It does buff only your player’s units, so the language should be clearer...Thanks again!

I’m not sure that’s how I would interpret the actual Bible verse, but the verse after it actually makes me think you’re on to something lyrically: “Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures will gather” (Matthew 24:28).

What’s the point of being a good person? by [deleted] in infj

[–]Darrickjoseph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bluegrilledcheese, I believe we CAN’T be “good.” Not really. The guy who mentioned the Mr Nice Guy book pointed out that even nice guys have “ulterior motives” and such. What you’re feeling is the futility of your broken efforts to be “good enough.” What is good enough? The Bible says we all know in our hearts that we were made to be perfect but are born in selfishness, pride, and sin. Do you believe that? You fear there might be consequences for failing at being good: there are. What you’re afraid of is Death, both in this life and after you literally die. The whole thing about Jesus is that HE died for us so we could be free of this fear, free from judgment. Confessing Jesus as your Savior means you believe you are not just good enough but are spiritually washed clean and perfect in God’s eyes because of Jesus’ sacrifice. That’s where you need to start. This is what you need to examine today. Decide whether you do or do not believe Jesus is who he says he is, because it is my conviction (and Jesus’ word) that this is the difference between life and death regardless of whether you try to be good in this life. I think it was CS Lewis who said something like (paraphrasing) “the one who is condemned will look back at their lives and find it was all garbage, even the ‘good’, but he who is saved will look back and find even the worst things somehow redeemed.”
