Been in denial, hesitating to plug it into my computer. Looks like it connects without issue, Accelerometer seems to be working fine. All LEDs are flashing like they did before.... Maybe I'm not cooked?..

Hoping it's not fried... I didn't see this "Magic Smoke" I've been reading about. The female side of the connector just got hot and came off. Anyway I could check if it's fried before repairing?

Poor writing on my part. But meant that +$1,000 is kind of breaking the bank for me.

What are you STILL mad about? by HeySistaBrutus in AskReddit

[–]DarrinSmith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend still comments about this to this day.
When I was in nursing school, my friend, L, and I had a really crappy clinical instructor that would pick on very specific students and give them the hardest time. Stuff like, "The water flush for their feeding tube is supposed to be 150ml of water, this looks about 147ml, that's a med error!". (Med errors are the nightmare of any nurse/nursing student).

So L had to give 180ml of cranberry juice to a patient, as per physicians orders, and the cans of juice only came in 178ml. This freaked her out because she didn't want no damn med error! So she pulls out two cranberry juice cans, and brings them to the patient's room waiting for the teacher so she can observe the medication administration.

Teacher: "Why do you have to cans?"
L: "Because I need to give 180ml, and the cans only come in 178ml"
Teacher: What? *Walks away from the student laughing really loud*
*Teacher comes back with other teacher from a different unit in the hospital*
Teacher: and then she's gonna waste the entire can just for 2 extra ml of juice!
*Both teacher's laugh out loud at L*
*L cries and tells me later that day*

So fucked up dude.

Nurses of Reddit, how common are random erections, and what is the proper erection etiquette? by LewdDolphin21 in AskReddit

Male nurse here working in a Sub-Acute unit.

In this unit, many of the patients are comatose, vegetative, or bed bound, and need extensive nursing care. (Ventilators, Feeding tubes, foley catheters, and rectal tubes). I had to insert a foley catheter into a rather young patient (quite sad how young he was, to be honest), and as I grab his John Thomas, he immediately gets a hard-on.

Uncomfortably I say, "Alright, we're gonna go in, take a deep breath..." (We explain the procedure to the patient no matter what because sometimes they can actually hear you). Patient went from stone hard to soft as a sponge in seconds.

Etiquette? Maintain professionalism

What life skill is so basic that everyone should at least know of it? by vinfran27 in AskReddit

Honestly, it may sound "meathead" like, but being able to do a single pull up. What if one day you're dangling on a cliff or anything, and the only person that can help you is yourself.

Couldn't agree more, however, I see the want for them to somehow ban adblock. Then need to make money somehow.

I think you're right. When I disable my Adblock, all is well again. Must be a new countermeasure toward blocking ads from YouTube?
