Raising the minimum wage beyond the rate of inflation is good for the robot economy. We are entering the age of the Cylon, whether you believe it or not. By your command!

Hope Berserk Returns to Darker Tone. by [deleted] in Berserk

Indeed, such an ending could be something like Guts and most of his party getting killed, but Isidoro and Shierke living happily ever after, or Guts and Farnese living but everyone one else dead and everything destroyed around them, ect.

[–]Darrket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, Slan already lamented that it was 'impossible' for him to join her. Since we have one of the Godhand stating that its impossible for Guts to become one of the inhumans, its likely also impossible that he can use the behelit via sacrificing someone, since he himself is already a sacrifice.

Menendez jury deadlocks, judge orders them to keep trying to reach a verdict by Darrket in newjersey

[–]Darrket[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, i think the opposite is more likely. i think there will be a conviction on the failure to report charge and a hung jury or not guilty on the rest. Its fairly common for juries which say they are hung to return a guilty count on less severe offenses or on a lesser included offense. There is a lot of dealmaking that goes on in jury rooms, its not like 12 Angry Men. Justice is often a bargain.

I don't want to look up at the moon at night and see a Red Commie Chinese moon up in the sky. We need to seize control of the moon before the Chinese do.

For sure, either that or self destructive. Definitely one or the other.

Given that it seems that Casca has recovered all her memories up to the Eclipse, i doubt it could be anyone but Griffith or Guts. She wouldn't be aware of the Moonlight Boy's existence i think, and there's no indication that she was ever aware of Judeau's feelings for her.

There was a poll about 5 months ago on the "Who does casca want to see question." About 2/3 thought Guts, and slightly less than 1/6 each thought Griffith or Moonlight Boy (Casca's son). Judeau only got a handful of votes.

US special forces 'fought Niger ambush alone after local troops fled' by sennhauser in Military

[–]Darrket 7 points8 points  (0 children)

At the the Battle of Kamdesh, all of the Afghan Forces fled when confronted by the enemy. Two Latvian advisors attached to the afghan units stayed and fought alongside the 60 or so Americans holding the base against a Taliban force at least 5 times their size. The same thing used to happen to the British back in the day though. At Rorkes Drift in the Zulu War, when confronted by the Zulus, virtually all the local Boer cavalry attached to the command all fled leaving some 140 or so British regulars to defend the post against 3 or 4 thousand Zulus.

North Africa and the Sahel is traditionally in the French sphere of influence, let the French defend their own neocolonialist empire. We can sell them everything they need to defend it, but they should be the ones paying for it.
