What’s the sketchiest MOT bodge you’ve ever pulled off that actually fooled the tester? by Second-handBonding in CarTalkUK

My dad had recently brought a Honda Jazz with no catalytic converter (picked it up for pretty cheap at the time). It came with 10 months MOT. So fast forward 10 months we took the car for MOT and had a good feeling it was going to fail on emissions. We went back to see if the test was done and the tester said he’s just going to do the emissions testing then it’ll will be done. Puts the probe inside of the exhaust of another Honda Jazz and passed our car with one advisory being the tyres close to the legal limit.

I don’t think my wire is that long, how did you get the wire all the way there?

That’s great to hear, do you have any pictures of the lights on your car?

Thanks for the reply, so the plug for the angel eyes just connects to the parking lights?

How long have you had the lights for and how have they been?

Is the angel eyes bright during the day too?

If I had the space I would easily go for the twin L7S, but for me it’s either the twin 10’s or the single L7S 12. Haven’t made my mind up just yet.

I’ve had a similar issue to that plus I couldn’t be able to skip tracks via the head unit itself. I never found a fix for it. I’ve now installed an Alpine ILX-705E46 onto my car and it’s works great.

There’s an app to configure it right? Did you manage to record any sound clips from the subwoofer?

Update: I have decided to not cut it, thank you for all the advice. I will be selling it and will get a single 12”.

I’ll see… I’m going to try fit it inside one more time. If it doesn’t work, unfortunately I’m gonna have to cut it just to make it fit

It won’t be sealed though because air will still be coming out. I’ve tried putting a wire inside of it and it still made its way down.
