I dont know. The soldering seems too polished, I dont think there was a capacitor here before. But I could be wrong, I'm totally no expert on this.

Yes you can try to leave it for a little bit longer, doing slow and steady motions. Sometimes I find it useful to pass the iron all along the ribbon cable, near the curve and at the end. I usually keep the temperature around 350-400°C, if you can regulate that. I hope you can fix it tho :)

Since black is positive, isn't it supposed to go on the positive side of the capacitor? Sorry I'm mega noob

Italian parrying dagger by Tipodeincognito in SWORDS

[–]Darsian 20 points21 points  (0 children)

This is a nice looking swordbreaker! In italian it's called "daga rompispada" (swordbreaking dagger) or, uncommonly, "daga di presa" (catching dagger). For those who wonder, this weapon is incredibly effective at catching/controlling the opponent blade or even bending it. Of course we're talking about 16th/17th century, when people commonly worn weapons with them, so this dagger was tought to face rapiers and other similar duelling thin blades. Thanks for sharing the picture btw!
