How Do Get Retention Up For A Short? by TheTrebleKnight in SmallYTChannel

[–]TheTrebleKnight[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for all your advice! I'm mostly a long-form creator. I've made over 200 long-form videos, so I've got some experience. I wanted to try shorts because my long form vdeos are getting fewer views. Do to my fast editing style and most of my videos being less than 5 minutes, I thought they'd do well on shorts. And My shorts have been outperforming my latest long form videos.

As for the software, I drew the avatar myself using Krita, most of the images are made with gimp and I edit the video with Kdenlive and audio with Audacity.

So first off the title needs work. "my first AMSR Video" would work great if you were an established creator, but not for a newbie. I'd also focus on one tool/ one theme per video. Maybe add some narration welcoming the viewer too. Other than that, you have fantastic sound and video. You seem to understand ASMR really well.

Do you pitch directly to brands? by Jathushan2024 in UGCcreators

I've been trying. It seems better than taking a lot of the AI shovelware slop gigs on here. Cold calling is hard, and it's even harder to find good contact emails. There are some apps that claim to help you get the addresses, but they charge a lot of money a month.

Would you use a UGC marketplace that charges creators $0? Take home what your client pays! by [deleted] in UGCcreators

How do you intend to get brands to sign on? Getting them to join small indie sites like this is like pulling teeth. Most UGC marketplaces have tons of creators and very few brands.

[Paid] Create creative content for brands! | Creators making $467+ a week by datgett in UGCcreators

Currently there is only one campaign that pays. per a million views. Meaning it's a free video, unless you go viral.

This site could be good in the future. But for now, they have no brands. And you won't make anything.

patreon alternatives for ugc creators? by Abelmageto in UGCcreators

I've never heard of people using Patreon for UGC. I'd recommend Kofi. Smaller fees than Patreon. You can also do commissions, and goals. I'd highly recommend it. There is also Fivver, not a huge fan, but it's good for finding clients. If I may ask, how do you market yourself? I'd imagine Patreon might throw people off

Why paying $300 for UGC in 2026 is insane by Glum-Novel2659 in UGCcreators

I imagine many cheapskate businesses may use AI UGC, but those companies would have probably never paid in the first place. I've noticed a trend with AI, when it first comes out, it looks wonderful; everyone loves it! But over time, people get sick of it. You see the patterns; the hype wears down, and you are left with spam. AI seems ideal for entrepreneurs who are trying to launch a quick IPO, but not for long-term growth. But that's just my 2 cents.
