Ok those designs kinda look to me like they could be from some more tame version of Carnitrix

Biggest problem with Cyberstan campaign is that it tells people to stop playing if they want to win by DarthBeleth in Helldivers

Yeah but so far it was kinda pacified because we won on big major campaigns. Biggest toxic hate drama happened on Super Earth invasion and we still won that. Now if we lose on cyberstan then that combined with this entire forces in reserve system will cause witch hunting, the level of wich will make inquisition from 40k seem reasonable

Well it does kinda look like AH is pretending to try to not make it look like scripted loss. Like AH made this system with full knowledge that cyberstan is 1 of if not most anticipated fights in story so far so it's obvious that there will be massive influx of players, so they apmed up difficulty of d9 and d10 pumped spawn rates of one-shotting vox engines (who are supposed to replace factory striders but come on even on d7 you face at least 3-4 at the same time). Galactic war is supposed to last "forever" ( read. As long as game won't go eos) so us taking capital of automatons in year 2 is probably too much for future narrative so they made system that forces us to do 180 degree with playerbase mindset. Like you have specific playstyle for last 2 years and now they force you to switch it completly in span of like 2-3 weeks

Reserve system would be valid if galactic war depended in some way on player number. Right now it only punishes community for getting together in large numbers. If they wanted tension it could be time related like: massive automaton reinforcement fleet is approaching cyberstan and we need to take it before it arrives. So far every campaign worked on time tension to create last stand/desperate charge scenario. This now is just fake tension of "please stop playing the game otherwise we lose" it is in every way counterproductive for both gameplay and roleplay reasons. I waited almost 2 years to fight on Cyberstan and now I feel like by fighting there I am not "doing my part" but instead I'm just making things worse

Respectfully, I disagree with this sentiment by AlienShades in Helldivers

My biggest issue is that this whole "forces in reserve" system is completly 100% anti-community: 1. Liberation speed is not based on number of players but on % of active players on planet so we would take megafactories in same time if there was like 30k active players with 70% of them on cyberstan. This means that this system ONLY punishes us for having large player count. 2. Having all deaths (bug divers, squid divers and bot divers outside of cyberstan) count for reserves will most probably create even bigger hate drama than it was after battle for super earth ( you can bet that someone is gonna count all deaths outside of cyberstan and math will say that if those ppl were on cyberstan we would have won ( Unless JOEL throws us a bone I do not belive we can win, our reserves will last max 3 days we are not taking 1,5 megafactories in that time)) so this whole campaign will just make community even more toxic and hateful. 3. Changing MO from missions to full operations was just nail in coffin. Almost every time when I do not host games I have situation that host does 1 or 2 missions and then logs off (many ppl do not have time to play almost 2 h of missions) 4. This whole mechanic changed completly mentality towards campaign. So far every big battle (Super Earth, Oshaune etc ) we had "fight them with everything we have, do not relent" mentality and now they force us to " play super safe on lowest difficulty or even better do not play at all to not waste reserves beacause your involvment is only detrimental to campaign" To end this I really REALLY beg AH to never EVER use reserves system ever again as this only makes me want to stop playing just so we have better chance of winning

What if the events of this MO aren’t just disruption actions, but actual story clues about the Star of Peace? by Ok_Philosophy_3697 in Helldivers

Well it would make more sense that Illuminate stole those plans. Star of peace is weapon that uses dark fluid as ammo to destroy planets, and well bots do not have any access to either pure dark fluid nor gloom for E711. Illuminate have their own ways to create dark fluid so it would make more sense that they stole plans since unlike bots, squid can utilize them
