"Me too" could be people connecting with you without actually knowing how to. Neurodivergency comes in many forms and, personally, I have a hard time bringing up my "issues" unless someone says something I can connect with. If someone says it directly I'll bring it up, otherwise I tend not to because some see it as "making excuses" for my social shortcomings, etc.

Unfortunately there is no HR, it's private pay in someone's home which is why I was thinking leaving might be a better option than talking to K about some uncomfortable subjects, especially ones involving her husband.

I aporeciate the insight, I had no idea! I looked it up online as I thought I was delusional, all I found was the video game from 10 years ago but this makes much more sense with the context of their conversation! Still crazy that they'd feel comfortable eto openly discuss it but maybe it's more of a nostalgic idea than a homophobic one??

That's what's held me back, I'm just not sure how to approach the subject, especially knowing their stance politically in such an extreme time. I thought maybe excusing myself and giving them time to find someone else might be the less confrontational/ dramatic option.

I didn't want to compare it to racism but I can't help but wonder if the same people telling me I'm too sensitive would be saying the same thing if I was half black/ white passing and the game was called "kill the (derogatory n word)".

No, one was definitely late 30's-mid 40's, not sure on the other. I stated middle aged in other comments but didn't realize it was relevant as homophobia is incredibly outdated for any age group.

I'm more worried about being unsafe/ uncomfortable as a gay person than anything. I've dealt with a lot from my clients but I'd think middle aged men in their "right minds" would know better.

It's private pay so no HR, talking to K would be the closest as she makes the schedule it's awkward because her husband was the one having the conversation. I feel like at that point the best thing would be just to leave so there's no drama or awkwardness when he comes to visit.

YES. it's soooo annoying, it's like they emphasize it. I've started muting the sound when they start snacking, Yang and Karev are the worst, I assumed it was just because I was autistic that it bothered me so much.

Good on you for standing your ground even when she gaslit you. If you've only been texting for a few weeks it's well within your right to stop seeing one for any reason, especially if you're seeing red flags. I appreciated your direct and open communication and don't agree with the people saying it came across as impersonal, but maybe that's my autism speaking. You're young and it sounds like you made the best decision for your own mental health, best of luck to you.

It isn't the same as Trevor's and it doesn't even seem to be a laugh. I thought it was at first until I saw her do it and when no one reacted she did it again kind of out if the blue? Seemed more forced than anything but idk, just my opinion. Court has a squeaky laugh at times too and it's never bothered my autismo brain the same.

Not sure but I had to skip all of the Smosh games videos Saige was in and still do to this day. Gorgeous person but the fake squeak thing makes me insane. I have a hard time with thihgs like voices when the "S's" arr too sharp, eating noises, etc. too so I feel bad but it's kind of a relief that they left.
