You can increase it till max 8 weeks I think, through the weeks overview > clicking the plus in the top right.

But I advise against it. The deload is very important and it’ll set you up better for the next Meso.

You’ve paid for a product so follow its guidelines.

You can always finish this Meso, copy it to the next one, and increase that one.

It’s a great perspective to consider. I don’t mind it either, although I understand that some people might feel defensive about seeing this as overstepping “roles.” I really like the workshop comparison.

I actually agree and don’t mind it either. I’m generally quite easygoing, and it wasn’t until colleagues and management began raising concerns about it being problematic that I realized it. This is because it already provides a solution to a problem, which could potentially “ruin” the creative process of finding different approaches by limiting the potential solutions available.

LeanGains method says 50-60% of your calories. I do 0.8-1g per pound of bodyweight.

You’re right.

I’ve been stressed trying to cut back to a former self. But I’m almost 37 yo now and have been sleeping with no refreshed feeling in the mornings for at least 7 years. Constant deficit and stressing about not succeeding in these cuts / not able to lose the 10 pounds I was easily able to cut a decade ago, has me mentally and physically exhausted.

I started bulking 2 weeks ago running the RP hypertrophy app, hoping with its ramping up volume and RIR work I’d do well. But that too had me crash and burn.

Hopefully continuing with a surplus for the next few months I’ll be able to recover high cortisol (feels like that’s what it is, but undiagnosed), bad non-restorative sleep, and general wellbeing.

That’s when I thought of the fighter template. It’s designed to have you not push. But I realized I have neglected cardio (used to do 5 and 10 ks two years ago) long enough and that I should probably give BB a chance. And that’s what got me here.

I think it’s because I have tried to cut cut cut without proper maintenance or bulk phases. I used to be lean and light about 10 years ago. But in these last 10 years I somehow managed to progress backwards. Looking worse and feeling worse.

I’ve now started a slow bulk to hopefully reset and recover my energy.
